Jeez, please tell me we're not knocking a kid who's been called the 5th best shooter in the country.  Shooting's a skill we need. The kid can shoot.

Lol saying an incoming freshman is pudgey doesn’t take away that he can shoot. I would love for SLU to sign Jitoboth and he’s also chubby

His highlight reel looks a lot like Mike Crawford’s did. Main difference being Jimmerson is playing against real talent, and Crawford was doing it against teams of 6’1” chubby hoosiers.

The other difference is that in the Jim Crews era, we needed Crawford to be a starter, scorer, and major contributor to all facets of the game. He would've been perfectly fine as a role player as the 7th-8th guy down the roster.

If Chris May can’t get it done he would have to go down as one of the worst AD’s of all time. No reason we shouldn’t be the first program considered for expansion.

It’s SLU’s to screw up...

If UConn wants back in, we have no shot for the next spot.

The problem with UConn is they have invested heavily in football.  They are not about to just walk away from that.  Also, May is not the guy to look to for who has influence in this issue - it is Freddy P.  If we do not get in to the BE it will be his failure not May.  Those presidents will make their decision on who they will pal around with not on who the AD is.

UConn is looking at cutting sports to close a $40M shortage.  You would think football would be first to get the axe.

Football lost $8.7 million, men’s basketball $5 million and women’s basketball, a perennial power, had expenses more that outpaced revenues by more than $3 million.

And one real fact about this issue of who the school presidents are going to pal around with is that the personality and characters of Biondi and Pestello are extremely different. If we got rejected because they could not stand Biondi, maybe they will find Pestello acceptable, just saying.

That is a heck of a mess they have there and to make matters worse the football team was 1-11 that will not generate much needed revenue.  Also the basketball team is being punished for violations.  I wonder what the football team costs them last season?

Well personally,  after S2, pesty is far far worse.  Everytime I see the buffoon I get furious.  He's worthless.

Roy, this is true but it represents your reaction to Pestello plus the reasons you cannot stand him. This is not likely to be the way the President of Georgetown or Creighton may react to Pestello at all. Indeed they may look at Pestello as someone they can influence and use in their internal league politicking, which may be a positive for them.

UConn is not getting rid of football right now.  If the football playoffs expand the AAC will have a team in that almost every season and be looking at a spot in a New Year’s six bowl every season. That is the money payoff all the AAC teams have been looking for and UConn is not going to cut bait when that looks right around the corner.

The legend of Javon Bess will grow has he leads us to the Big East.

Not by Chaifetz and other donors who are continually donating millions upon millions to the university.

No love for how S2 was handled, but let’s not be totally ridiculous here.

Maybe you are correct and everybody will know who it is they are dealing with. However, the relationship between the different presidents in a league is not one of true affection for one another, I think it is more of a matter of working together, engage in give and take, and gaining control of one another. Pestello is well suited to work in this type of environment, Biondi was not.

Cutting football is not an easy thing to do.  I am sure they can make some cuts in the football program but axing it is not likely to happen.

*Wonders if Perkins will be our best FT shooter next season.*
