Taj79
The out-of-conference (OOC) is a good place to kick start your season as we all know. Momentum and confidence built there can go a long way. And it also lays the groundwork for arguments of at-large bids. Here's who's opening tonight: University of Massachusetts Lowell @ Umass (-7.5) with Umass having a 87% win possibility. Cleveland State @ Davidson (-18.5) with Davidson at 89%. Gardner-Webb @ VCU (NL) with VCU at 81%. City University of New York @ Fordham (NL) with Fordham at 91% (how bad must CUNY be?) Penn @ Mason (-5.5) with Mason coming in at 56% Stony Brook @ George Washington (NL) with Geedubya at 63% win chances. Bryant @ Rhode Island (N/L) with Rhodey at 83% La Salle @ Temple (-9.0) with Temple at 86% (likely 'best' game of the night). And SEMO @ Saint Louis (-20.5) with us getting a 91% winning chance. Dayton (88%) opens tomorrow hosting North Florida and the Bonnies (62%) host Bucknell tomorrow as well. We have just as good a chance to win as Fordham does ... sorry, had to write that! thetorch
Fordham game is an exhibition. City college athletics is on par with Maryville or Webster.

MusicCityBilliken
Never over till it's over: Stony Brook spotted George Washington 22 points, and then came back to win the game We’re only one day into the season, but it feels like a safe bet to assume that we’re not going to see another game like the one Stony Brook and George Washington played on Tuesday. Playing at home, George Washington scored the game’s first 22 points, leading by a score of 22-0 at the midway point of the first half. Stony Brook ended the first half on a 10-0 run, but still trailed 34-24 at the break. The Seawolves still trailed by double-digits deep into the second half, and didn’t take their first lead until the 3:55 mark of overtime (an overtime forced by a last second layup from Akwasi Yeboah). Ultimately, Stony Brook walked away with a 77-74 win, and the game flow chart wound up looking like this:
