Commonly called a trap game. Although, I wouldn't classify this game as a trap game. They happen to just about every team not named Duke. The Pitt game was particularly painful since we had a good shot at the end to pull it out. I don't think Pitt will be the bottom dweller in the ACC and beating UL's a pretty good indicator they aren't as bad as everyone expected. I hope they keep winning, it will make our unfortunate L look that much better. Not sure how any L can look better as it's like putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. But we'll see. Of interest to the Bills: Florida St rose two spots to #11. Houston tumbled four spots to #21. Seton Hall down to only 6 votes. In comparison, the #25 team has 116. So, they aren't even close to being ranked. Long story short, come selection date, I seriously doubt we're going to have a 'marquee resume-building win'. The best teams we've played ended in a blowout loss, and the loss to Houston. We get zero credit for close losses. Plus, if we'd have beaten Houston, they wouldn't even be ranked now, so that conversation is moot. We just need to do our business. I still believe winning the conference regular season (as long as its not with over 4 losses) gets us in. That's where my sights are set. I can't pin our postseason hopes on winning three games in the A10 Tournament.
