All of our recruits are underrated by 247

If all of our current 3 * recruits are as good as recent 3 * recruits (HF and KM) I'll be very happy.  I still think we need a 4/5 to take the spot of Santos, next year, but that leads me to a question for those of you who have seen Hargrove play.  Is it possible that he could bulk up enough to fill that need for a inside force, like what we expected Santos to be?

I've been under the impression that Hargrove is a small forward.

hargrove is legitimately 6'7".   he does all the inside work needed of a power forward plus run the floor and make threes.   typically he will guard though the other teams strongest inside player.   i would not waste his outside wing skills as a power forward though in college.   let him run the floor.   he could turn into quite the gem of a player.

I've only watched him once, but my initial thought for a comp was Xavier Sneed from KState.  Does that sound about right?

he is not as refined as sneed was by the time sneed got to kstate. ( sneed is one player i wish we would have went after a lot harder.)   but i could see hargrove end up as a sneed like player especially if allowed to develop full time as a wing.   imo he is going to be a good replacement for javon bess.   he wont be javon initially, but he has so much potential he could turn out to be javon or better.

So the answer to my question is that we should not expect Hargrove to step into one of our "Big" spots.  That means that that is a priority in this year's recruiting class , or certainly in the 2020 class.  I think we will get accustomed to two strong powerful  4/5s on the court at the same time, dominating the inside.  Because we have 5 known scholarships available for the combined 2019 and 2020 recruiting classes (and we have already filled 3 of those 5) I think we need to fill one of the 2 on a need basis-a 4/5 type.  With the other I want C. Love.

If Welmer does not apply for and receive a medical redshirt year then we have one more to give.

Agreed. After watching Sneed play 4 years at Hazelwood Central, he consistently did the things you want to see in a high level recruit. His offensive ability and shooting stroke are astounding for someone his size. Then the way he played defense and rebounded in high school made me think he was going to be pretty successful in the college game.

TGloryTDays1985, are you bored today? Not enough homework assigned for the weekend?

Before you post again on statistical issues, do your homework.  Reggie Agbeko is in fact TIED for the highest 3 point % in Billiken history.  Your assignment, Mr. Phelps, is to figure out who he is tied with.  Please report back to class by opening bell on Monday.

"Alex, I'll take Billiken 3 point shooters for $200."

Here are some hints:

There are two other players with 100% 3 pt FG career.

One transferred in and one transferred out.

One is a local player and one is from Chicago.

Most of the adults on this board saw both play.

Well @Glorydays2013 it looks like you don't want to play.  Color me disappointed.  I thought you might want to learn a little about Billiken history.

Anyway, the two other Billikens with perfect 3 point FG% in their career are Keith Carter (2-2) and Jamal Johnson (1-1).  By default, as Carter had the most attempts, shall we call him the winner?

Go ahead and throw one of your troll reactions on this post.  Now that Banks is on 'vacation' you can continue his legacy.
