Ryan Agarwal - SF, 6-7, 175 - Coppell, TX (Coppell) - AAU: 3D Empire - Twitter: @RyanAgarwa1
Offers: Saint Louis, Creighton, Oklahoma State, Stanford, SMU, Harvard, Rice, Texas-Arlington, Denver, Howard.

Interest: VCU, George Washington, Marquette, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois, Minnesota, Northwestern, Texas, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Baylor, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Houston, Tulsa, Utah State, BYU, Wyoming, Air Force, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Loyola-Chicago, Belmont, Murray State, Southeast Missouri, Western Kentucky, Texas-El Paso, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State, McNeese State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, New Orleans, Incarnate Word, Louisiana, Georgia State, South Alabama, Louisiana-Monroe, Iona, Bucknell, Delaware, North Dakota, Oral Roberts, UC-Irvine, UC-Riverside, UC-San Diego, Cal State-Fullerton, Montana, Stetson, Liberty, Texas-Rio Grande Valley,  Utah Valley, Morgan State.

Latest News: Agarwal received an offer from SLU. (11/17/20)

Scouting Report: Agarwal is a long, lean wing with elite shooting ability. He has great smarts and vision and finds his shot in a variety of ways - screens, cuts, dribble hand-offs, or off the dribble. He's a good passer and can create mismatches defensively with his length and athleticism. He is a teammate of fellow SLU offer Anthony Black. Rankings: Rivals - 125, Prep Hoops - 182, 247Sports - 128, 247Sports Composite - 102.

Damien Mayo started the season off with a bang last night, scoring 32 points including 4 threes against Vianney.  Nice to see him have some early success from long distance.  If he can be a consistent three-point threat, he's unguardable most nights at the high school level.

He'd be a nice fit on SLU's roster

Marcel Bryant - PF, 6-6, 213 - Round Rock, TX (Cedar Ridge) - AAU: ProSkills Austin - Twitter: @Marcelbryant14
Offers: Incarnate Word.

Interest: Saint Louis, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Tulsa, Boise State, Rice, Ohio, UNC-Greensboro, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Troy, Omaha, Cal State-Fullerton, UC-Davis, UC-San Diego, Hartford, UMass-Lowell, Liberty, Coppin State, Grambling State.

Latest News: SLU's staff reached out to Bryant's parents. (12/16/20)

Scouting Report: Bryant is a tough, smart forward. He battles for rebounds and finishes through contact. He has soft touch on his jumper, which he can hit consistently inside the arc, although he will step out to the perimeter to shoot occasionally. He's an active defender.

-Bryant looks like a long-term project to me at this point. He's a gritty player and doesn't look super athletic on video, probably going to get superlatives like "lunch pail" and "junkyard dog" because he's always finishing below the rim in traffic, fighting it out for rebounds, and doesn't have much jump on his jumper. He said Incarnate Word was his second offer but I can't find any record of another.

If he's still growing, a 6'6 215 lb tweener is only a year away from being 6'7 230 lb matchup problem.

@PistolI copied this off your 2022 list, dated a couple of years ago.   It's hard to find updates sometimes.

Kellen Thames - G, 6-3, 175 - Maryland Heights, MO (Pattonville) - AAU: Brad Beal Elite (Nike EYBL)
Offers: None

Interest: Saint Louis, Missouri, Morehead State.

Latest News: Thames' recruitment has been quiet since this summer. (11/18/20)

Scouting Report: Thames is a growing combo guard who thrives in transition. He has a quick first step, gets to the rim through traffic, and finishes. He can also shoot the three but needs to become more consistent with it. He has nice handles and passing ability. He plays with a high motor and is aggressive at both ends. He was Pattonville's leading scorer as a sophomore, averaging 18.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 4.5 APG, and 1.6 SPG with a slashline of .459/.298/.696. He is the son of former Mizzou player Kelly Thames.

Any news on Thames?  Frank C had a nice piece on him a few days ago.  He is destined for Mizzou?

I don't think he's destined to be a high major at this point without some additional development.  He has good size (6'4), a solid handle and good court vision but he does most of his damage in transition.  Puts up inflated numbers against weak competition.  Athletically he's similar to Davell Roby.

Kellen's the kind of player that should be looking to go mid-major where he'd have a size advantage.  That way he'd be able to contribute while working on his halfcourt offense.

Just FYI, the dates of those posts are the original dates I added those sections. If that box is a couple years old, it's because it had at least two classes before the current one in it. As a recruiting year closes out, I move everything up a box. So the only date you need to look at is the one in the Latest News line, because that's the last time I have done an update on a given player.

ESPN rates Holiman as the top prospect in Oklahoma.  He's a quick, small scoring point guard.  Considering how much success we're having with Yuri, even without the scoring, I can see why Coach Ford is interested.

Yurimania and Holiman= mini Fords.

Looks like he dropped 49 points in a game last week

Yuri had the ability to do that, and did, in high school when necessary.  Yuri's superpower, however, is his playmaking talents.  I would have to see tape on a kid and read a lot about his being a very unselfish pass first guy with loads of talent before thinking he could be another Yuri.  Yuri is somewhat of a unicorn in the modern game.
