Thanks, Box.  So it's not necessarily a requirement that the degree program not be offered at the new school.

I guess not.  It just sounds like that's a condition for immediate graduate transfer eligibility.

Here is the grad transfer from Maine I mentioned earlier. https://bangordailynews.com/2018/03/06/sports/umaine-sports/calixte-to-leave-umaine-mens-basketball-program/

I hope we're at least exploring interest. Seems like the kind of player who would thrive in the A10. Sell him on the opportunity to slot right into a key role on an NCAA caliber team. I'm sure there will be a lot of competition for him, but who knows, maybe Macon or Bailey have crossed paths with him previously since he is an East Coast kid.

Does seem like a perfect fit.  Let's get it done.

Thank you Ace for the information, he would be a great fit and with coach Ford and crew being good salesmen on why he should come to SLU to play in the big dance can probably get it done.

-looking at his stats and all he can get is 3rd team all America East? what kind of beasts are playing in that league? look out for Vermont or UMBC in the Tourney

Fun fact: Maine is the only state with a D1 program that has never had a school make the tourney.

Technically Alaska hasn't had an NCAA team make the tourney.  They don't have any Division 1 schools though.

Here's the article.  Interesting stuff.

"with a D1 program" is the disclaimer in @RiseAndGrind's post.

This is also fun every year: https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/bracketiq/2018-03-06/march-madness-tracking-43-teams-have-never-made-ncaa

Lipscomb is the only new entrant so far this season, but there's some hope in the WAC and a couple other strays with a chance.

Thanks @Pistol. Only reason I knew that fact was I got it right at a trivia night once. My life's proudest moment.

Maine?  Doubt the staff is interested or even knows he exists.

Mobley want to Central Connecticut. He’s done pretty well in the A10. I’m guessing this kid is good enough.

Pretty sure Maine is the only D1 school in the state. The other "big" schools are Bowdoin, Colby, Bates, and Maine Maritime. Pretty sure they're all in the NAIA. The Black Bears used to be really good back in the early 60's and competed for Yankee Conf Titles w/ UMass, UConn, RI, NH and VT. I'm not sure if the old Yankee Conf even got an invite to the NCAA when it was limited to 16 schools. However, the Black Bears usually have really good hockey teams and think they may have won an NCAA title not too long ago. Let's go easy on the Black Bears.

Those are all D-III (Bates, Colby, and Bowdoin are in the NESCAC and form the super competitive CBB Consortium).
