Auburn the recipient of multiple homecooking calls in overtime.  We have the athletes to match up with this team, I just wonder how our young guys will respond to a raucous crowd on the road.

The crowd might not feel as raucous thanks to the game being in the much larger Legacy Arena (17,600) in Birgmingham than the truly home Auburn Arena (9,100).

Last year’s Birmingham game was Auburn-UAB, which was close to selling out (15,900). But the year prior was Auburn-Middle Tennessee (which is a 3hr drive away) which didnt have the arena half full (7,200).

Given the distance, non-in-State rivalry, etc. attendance might be closer to MTU and hopefully feeling a bit more quiet and cavernous than raucously in support of the Tigers.

When we were in the CUSA, I attended the UAB-SLU game several times in Birmingham. As I recall they always had a nice crowd.

That’s a fair point, but Auburn  also made final four last year, so fan excitement is probably close to an all-time peak

URI runs away with a 75 to 61 win.  Russell with 24.  Langevine with 17 in front of sell out Ryan Center crowd.  Second largest in school history.  URI gets Gtown transfer Antoine Walker eligible for next game.  URI did it with seven guys.   Providence drops to 5 and 5; URI now 6 and 3.  Nice A10 win.
