Recruiting - 2019

SLU was in the running for this kid two years ago. He went to Wyoming, got hurt and didn't play his freshman season, transferred to Miami, and was granted a waiver so he could play immediately as a redshirt freshman there. He'll have to sit a year and will be eligible for three more seasons.

Don't see a college name associated with No. 4 Khadim Sy and his 6'10"...he'd look good on Team Blue!

Verbal Commits has him looking at Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and East Carolina.  He had a year at Virginia Tech before he went JUCO.

Had a SLU offer right before he committed to K-State.

He redshirted this season, could probably get a waiver to be immediately eligible.

Not that we're chasing guards at the moment.

Mickey Pearson to TCU:

Before all the comments about how much you don't care, I'm just closing the loop.

TCU had been involved for the past several months.

Not often you see a kid de-commit from a NCAA tourney team, conference championship winning team, to play for an NIT team with a coach who has eyes elsewhere.

Can someone refresh my memory about the story of Pearson leaving because his grandma was ill? He keeps getting blasted for that, but I'm not sure he ever said that.
