gister
He had some interesting comments along with Bob Ramsey about the situation. Claiborne commented that he had talked to some contacts in Vegas and that they are already using the word "investigation" out there. He said, for obvious reasons, the use of that word in connection with UNLV will have them screaming in the streets. He also said that Krueger was brought in, in part, because of his clean reputation and now this incident was making the school begin to wonder. Ramsey felt that SLU would/should probably continue to recruit Tommie. If he was good enough the first time around, then he is worth going after again. Claiborne felt that SLU should walk away if the committment is that shaky on Tommie's part, but that SLU should keep heavy pressure on UNLV. I believe a number of posters here agree with putting up a fight to let schools know this isn't going to be tollerated. Ramsey also talked about the fact that Tommie won't be playing for another 1 1/2 years for SLU or anybody else, so there is time to adjust recruiting, if necessary.
