Old guy Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Right on, Willie. Now start an investment account and FEED THE MOTHERFUOKER. Willie, you may not believe this but it is incredibly easy to run through this kind of money if you are not careful. Jimbo's advise is true, save at least 30% of the money somewhere where you do not touch it. Taxes will take care of a good portion of what is left, then spend the rest and have fun. Quote
David King Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Good for Willie! I know he has been working really hard, and he deserves it. I will be following the Nets now. Quote

JMM28 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Good for Willie. He has a real chance as the Nets are in full rebuild (or build I guess) mode. The started PF and C positions are locked down by Thad Young and Brook Lopez, but the backup bigs look to be Willie, Thomas Robinson, and Earl Clark. I'm not sure if I think Willie could play some 5 in the league, but I think he could be a solid end of the rotation player for a mid level team. Now I will go cry and think about what could have been if he had stayed in school... Quote
Box and Won Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 It's easy to forget that Willie is only 25. If he can stay in the league for a few years, he can make some nice cash. Quote
thetorch Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 Reed can most definitely play the 5 in the NBA. Quote

Old guy Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 This is wonderful news, and he will be reunited with Conklin to make it even better. All the best to Jordair. Australia is a great place to be at. Quote
JettFlight5 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Looks like Conk did some recruiting during his trip home. Quote

crymdg2 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Nice article on Willie: http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-pm-willie-reed-gets-his-shot-with-nets/ Quote
cgeldmacher Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Ellis signed with the Illawarra Hawks yesterday. He is now teammates with Lisch. We need to get all these Billikens in Australia to start scouting and recruiting for us down under. With all these alums we have playing in their league, we should try to make it a recruiting ground again. Quote
slu72 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Every time a Billiken fan reads a Willie story you have to tear up a little at what might have been. Had he come back w/ Mitchell for that 2011-12 season, we'd have been something special. And RM would have had him NBA ready if not that year, the next. Quote
TheChosenOne Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Here is a list of former Billikens playing professionally and where they are playing: http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27200&ATCLID=210308592&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Quote
cgeldmacher Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 We need to figure out how to get the game and then have a watch party when the Townsville Crocodiles (Conklin and Jett) play the Illawarra Hawks (Lisch and Ellis) play each other this season. Quote
