Interesting that this kid plays at St. Louis Christian.

2017 St. Louis Christian (MO) G Nickeil Alexander-Walker received an offer from USC. (HT @ShaneJames23) @NickeilAW31

Not a st. Louis native. He's from Toronto. Big time player has offers from Illinois, Providence, Baylor, V tech, among others.

All right, here's my first pass at a complete 2017 list. All details aren't totally filled in because the list is massive and information is scarce on some of these guys. Let me know what I missed. I left some kids out (like local kids we may not be recruiting yet, or Trae Young, who we've contacted but who isn't coming here).

-great work, thanks Pistol

-is this the kid that played on tv with the Eagles from Peach Jam? interesting that it would be said anywhere that he is not hearing from SLU, does that indicate he has interest in SLU? although I believe someone mentioned he is top target for Illinois but may be he doesn't like them

-did Wyatt Yess play summer ball?

-talent out there, let's get some

-did Wyatt Yess play summer ball?

That is a good question. I don't see his name in Earl's write-up on the Adidas Three Stripes tournament that Gateway 16U won. There is a picture of the team and it looks like Yess is in the photo in a yellow t-shirt, so maybe he was hurt?

I think Levi Stockard is at Vashon now.

I have not seen Yess on any teams this summer.

It seems like Goodwin has moved on from being a possibility for us. Mckissic & Frederking should be the local priorites.

1. Yes. And I don't know what the mutual interest level is. Our coaches watched the Eagles enough to say they're very, very aware of every kid on the roster. He's a huge priority for the Illini, but I'm not sure what he thinks of them. He's a hard one to read at this point. He's an incredible offensive player; he's a no-brainer offer if there's been any mutual connection at all so far.

2. Yess is listed on Gateway's 16U roster. He tweeted about the team almost 3 months ago, and the last tweet I can find about him and Gateway is also almost three months ago. And the most recent stats I can find for any AAU events (on the Adidas circuit) are from late April. He's listed on the roster for later events, but without a jersey number and with no points or other stats listed. Maybe he's taking the summer off? I don't know.

3. There's a lot of talent and a lot of names. This has the potential to be a nice class if SLU plays its cards right.

I've seen some stuff that says Vashon, but couldn't verify it. He's still retweeting things that have him listed as Madison Prep. I held off on changing it for now, but let me know if he's officially transferred.

I'm not ready to move on from Goodwin. Our staff has clearly botched his recruitment so far but I'd like to think the bridge isn't burned with a kid who has 2 years of HS ball left. I'm stunned we haven't offered yet, I'd just hate to think he's 100% out of reach even if he's disappointed in our staff's ineptitude.

Frederking appears to be a pure scorer. I like everything I read and see there. Who has seen him play? How'd he look with the Eagles this summer?

What's your take on McKissic? I've heard a lot of differing opinions on him so far.

I just heard Cuonzo Martin on with Frank on 920am and he said Cal is recruting STL heavy as there

is great talent right now in the area.

They sure are. I'm seeing Cal's name pop up a lot on these Missouri and Illinois kids. Some have already taken unofficial visits out there.

Any idea whether he will be playing football again this fall?

Yess won't be playing football anymore. Had a knee injury that required rest, hence no AAU ball during July. Shouldn't affect him going forward for basketball.
