Westy03
Can't really say much. The weekend in Columbus was probably the proudest I have ever felt about my university. Thank you Rick Majerus. Box, the video of Conklin pretty much sums it up

brianstl
The guy was a basketball genius and he loved teaching the game. He really loved the game more than the glory. He would rather have coached ten kids that were willing to listen and give their all than a roster loaded with all-americans.
Tonka
Wow. I'm stunned. I knew it was a possibility and we heard his situation was grave, but I am truly stunned. Very hard to hear. RIP Coach. Prayers to you, your family, and those closest to you.

TheA_Bomb
Thanks Coach for your contribution to our school and to basketball. You were the ramblingest, most interesting speaker that I've ever heard. I true character. You will be missed.

aj_arete
This is truly a sad day for Billiken nation and the Majerus family. In his relatively short stint, he gave us some great memories. Watching that team battle Mich St was truly special. RIP and God Bless.
Tonka
Porter Moser @PorterMoser RIP to my friend and mentor Coach Majerus. I learned so much about the game and life. We lost a One of the best! My heart is heavy tonight.
Sniper
Rick was one of my favorite coaches of all time. He was a Great American and one of a kind. It is a tragic loss, and my prayers are with all of those in pain tonight. May God Bless Rick Majerus.
SaintLouBlue
Well, this stinks. RIP Coach. Although I knew his coaching days were numbered, still held out hope that he would make it to the Fetz for one last standing ovation.
DeSmetBilliken
When it was announced in August that Coach wasn't going to be coaching this year, I was worried that this could happen during the season, but I wasn't sure if I was just being over dramatic. When we do something big later in the season, it'll be the kind of stuff they make movies about.
DeSmetBilliken
Although I knew his coaching days were numbered, still held out hope that he would make it to the Fetz for one last standing ovation. This. I was really hoping he could be there for Senior Night, given everything with Kwamain, as well as Cody's struggles with injuries and the fiasco of him being declared eligible. ucan2
RIP Coach. Thank you for all you did for Billiken Basketball. You put SLU athletics on the map. You will never be forgotten. I hope they will name the court or something prominent on the SLU campus for Rick.
DeSmetBilliken
Not sure how much info people here had on Rick's condition, but the guy who runs the Marquette Scout.com site and has known Rick for a number of years posted that Rick was in CA in dire need of a heart transplant, but his body wasn't strong enough to take the surgery. Billiken75
Coach Majerus made watching the Billikens a great event - you always knew we were prepared by a true genius and his in-game coaching was flawless. We were lucky to have him part of Billiken history. I hope the team, the coaches, and us fans - can go on a mission and make this season special - for Coach.
