slufan13
i was reading that a lot of voters sometimes turn their ballots in before the sunday night games. that would be the only thing that i could see keeping us out of the top 25 of the AP and USA Today polls. Here's how it will look: Kentucky Syracuse Ohio State Duke North Carolina Louisville Baylor Florida Missouri Xavier Connecticut Gonzaga Kansas Alabama Michigan Vanderbilt Wisconsin UNLV Pittsburgh Marquette Saint Louis Harvard Creighton Florida State Mississippi State Marshall New this week: UNLV, Saint Louis, Harvard, Marshall Out this week: Memphis, Villanova, California, Cleveland State
mccarthyirish7
From CBS Sports Night Court: Three other notable results Minnesota lost Trevor Mbakwe in the midst of its 86-70 loss to Dayton. Dayton’s not that good. Gophers lose their first of the season. Will be the first of many more if Mbakwe’s injury proves long-term. (MRI coming soon.) Whoa: Bowling Green beat Temple 67-64? Owls aren’t as good as most thought. The Falcons finished the game on a 7-1 run. Saint Louis absolutely rolled to its 76 Classic title, winning over Oklahoma, 83-63. Bilks fans will like where their team is placed in Monday morning’s Non-BCS Power Pyramid.

Billikens killing a quality opponent again. Will be ranked this week."

Xavier and Temple were both there last week, along with Memphis. Interested to see if we will replace X at number

slu72
Suggestion to team: Don't read your clippings. Don't read the polls. Don't lose your focus, which is, THE NEXT GAME!

The Wiz
When the main polls come out (AP and USA today), we should be listed in both.. In a perfect world our numbers are good enough to be ranked 15 to 20. In the real world, where history and tradition live, we will probably be lower. The good news is that we won the tournament in a convincing fashion. Had we won by the predicted spreads, we would have been on the cusp of the top 25 wondering how team XYZ made it and we didn't.These double digit victories force voters to sit up and take notice. About a week ago I started a thread which said we could beat over half the top 25 teams. There were probably not many believers outside of this board. Now we have the basketball world asking not only "what is a Billiken" but "how good is a Billiken."
