bk18
When is our official schedule released for next year? I know the power is always in the hands of the schools that are good (they are the ones with something to lose). AKA Duke isn't going to schedule us unless they know its a guaranteed win or if we will have a good ranking to help their RPI. So from a strategic point of view, its better to play teams early that are likely to improve. IE you could play a "40" seed that will become a "20" seed by the end of the season. So teams can get the W from the team early on in the season and benefit from their RPI as the season progresses. I think SLU will be one of those "improving teams" since we are so young and will be throwing some freshmen into the mix early on. Do you think we could get any high profile schools interested in playing us? At least away?
slu72 fan
At the banquet tonight, RM announced that we were playing at Portland this year. A game for BC to play near his home. Also, RM stated we would be playing at Cancun this season, Anaheim next year, and KC the following year. All of these with BCS programs, and all games televised on ESPN. Went on to state that trying to schedule has become even harder. Can't find many willing to play us. Tried to convince Florida to schedule us home and home to get Beal a chance to play in StL, but no luck. Tried all avenues with Mizzou, but zero interest on their part. I bet that was a little awkward.

Can't wait for the day when schools realize it won't necessarily be a 'bad' loss if they happen to lose to us. We are close. Once we get over that hump, our schedule will improve significantly. bills10
When do the first schools begin announcing? Then we can perhaps start piecing together the puzzle

cheeseman
Last season, schedule was not released until late August/Early September. Hope this helps. The conf schedule is the one that holds its release up because they are constantly tweaking it - usually the non conf schedule is available ahead of that. SluSignGuy
When do the first schools begin announcing? Then we can perhaps start piecing together the puzzle In the summer and when schools start announcing, the puzzle will be pieced together on the front of Billikens.com. Generally we can get most of the games figured out before the official announcement.
