Ram fan here

I know its a little late(had to wait for registration to go through ) but I just wanted to tell you guys good game/series. The Rams had to play their hearts out to come away with the win and championship. I hope somehow SLU and VCU can start a series. Both teams should be very good next year. So many times this year Ram fans watched in frustration as leads slipped away from the Rams on the road. Most of the Ram nation is proud that the team could finally pull one on the road against a good team. With such a young SLU team I couldn't help being impressed by their composure. I think what allowed VCU to pull the win off was the wrecking havoc style that slowly wore down SLU that had a short lineup and also the experience of our team. The Rams have a lot of young players but there are a fair amount of juniors and some very good sophomores on the team(a couple of seniors also). The next couple of years should be really good for both teams. VCU has played a lot of games against the A10 in the last few years so hopefully that might sway SLU to start a series.

side note: When Ram fans came over here to the message board we were caught over guard to see so many compliments about the team. I only saw one person really taking shots at VCU and that was during the in game thread . It would be nice to have a series with a school that has such classy fans.

Thanks for the post. I think a home-and-home series would be good. It will take convincing our coach to travel a bit though.

I saw VCU in '80 in an NCAA Tourney in Greensboro. Honestly, I'd never heard of VCU prior to that night, but was impressed with the enthusiasm of your fans. I'm also thankful to VCU for knocking off Duke in the NCAA Tourney three years ago. That was an awesome performance by Maynor and your whole team.

I knew the Bills were in trouble drawing VCU in the Finals. As tough as you guys played ODU in the CAA Tourney, I was sure your team was going to be a handful. As banged up as the Bills were, it impressed me that our guys could play a team as good as yours so tough in game two. That fact alone gives me a lot of hope for the future. With our whole team returning and an excellent recruiting class, we're going to be good.
