Four Seventeen Posted June 11, 2007 Share Posted June 11, 2007 Yeah, his parents aren't too pleased with his decision, thinking he could have played easily at the Division I level...his Mom (a former news anchor for WEEK-TV, the NBC affiliate in Peoria) used to call me when I was at the Journal Star to report his AAU scores. Talk about your All-American Mom. My Dad, a QU '76 grad who played baseball there under now-Bradley head coach Dewey Kalmer, was actually instrumental in getting him a visit with A.D. Pat Atwell and the basketball staff at QU. I think the Hawks will be a good fit for Edmonds, and the only tough thing about QU is the drive from Peoria on U.S. 24. Talk about your lonely highways.
