Porter Moser coached with two close friends of Majerus. 1 year with Ric Cobb a 40 year friend of Majerus from college undergrad days, and Sidney Moncrief a Milwaukee Bucks legend. That is why his name has come up. Also Jeff Strohm is top assistant at Western Kentucky and former assistant to Majerus at Utah and Crean at Marquette. Has proven that he can get high D1 recruits (signed Jeremy Felton this week). Disciple of Norm, so hard-core MU fans would get riled. He's currently coaching at the high school level (Maplewood in St Louis county) and has expressed interest in moving to the next level. He has contacts in the St Louis area and in SE Missouri. He would not be good. Why dip into the juco coach ranks when you can get the steak? Martin is an outstanding recruiter, played in the league, was a star in high school and college, and would kill to coach St. Louis after Ricky boy toodles from SLU.
