  1. Maturi Pavillion looks like it’s connected to Williams Arena. What if whatever they have going on up there needs both spaces? Seems like if that was the plan it would have already been announced. I’m getting really curious to see how this turns out, the WNIT had to know there was a real chance of this happening for several days now.
  2. I think around 1000 max for a Volleyball game. But the bleachers are set up for a Volleyball sized arena, not basketball.
  3. From the WNIT website: The Gophers (20-15) will take on Saint Louis in the title matchup, which is set for tipoff (location TBA) at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 6, to be broadcast by CBS Sports Network. So it’s TBA arena for now…
  4. Playing at Harris-Stowe’s Emerson Center doesn’t look good.
  5. This is going to be interesting, and remember, since it’s not a campus event, but someone else’s place, they are going to want some $$$ for this. Who’s paying?
  6. Maybe. I don’t see anything scheduled at Family Arena until April 30th, but I also know that St Charles County (the owners) are putting in $13 Mil in upgrades to the place this year, including new seats and HVAC system. Where does that work stand? I have no idea..
  7. Yeah, but the floor is set up for hockey now, they don’t have a non-hockey event until May. Doubt they’d go to the expense of redoing the floor for BB, then having to re-do again for the next Blues game, not for a women’s BB game
  8. Play on the ice at Enterprise? Timberwolves are on the road, maybe at Target Center? No! Target center has a concert on Saturday night too! This could get really interesting….
  9. I wondered why they hadn’t announced a site yet, on the WNIT website they just said the games would be Apr 6th at 3pm Eastern on CBS Sports Network, but no site. This could be interesting…
  10. At least half the board loses their minds if that happens. Including me!
  11. Common opponents: Minn beat Drake 94-88 in double OT, Billikens lost 78-66 to Drake. Minn lost twice to Wisconsin, 59-56 and 67-56, who we beat in the WNIT 65-60. Minn has 4 players averaging double digits, and 1 more just over 9 per game, so they spread the offense around. No really great 3pt shooters, they average 70 pts per game.
  12. Minn beats Troy, Golden Gophers are the final opponent of the year.
  13. Our facility isn’t available, sold out concert with 8pm start, the game is a 2pm start, no way they get it ready in time for the concert, we’re on the road
  14. Is the game as crappy looking at your place? Major pixelization on this, which was not happening on the Billiken game
  15. I’d say it’s a hard NO on the home game. Looked up Chaifetz events, and the Zac Brown band is playing on Apr 6th, with special guest Adam Wainwright. The game is supposed to be at 2pm Central, no way they roll over the floor that quickly to get the game and concert in. Concert is sold out too. We’re on the road Saturday…
  16. Maybe. I honestly have no idea, Minn leading Troy by 7 halfway through the 3rd qtr
  17. In 1989, Rich Grawer’s team played its last game on March 29th, they were the NIT runner up, so yes, this it the latest any Billiken team has played ever.
  18. Minnesota ahead at halfime, 45-36 over Troy, Billikens will face the winner
  19. Boy that was an ugly game at times, but Billikens make adjustments at halftime and get the win
  20. 57-54 Billiken win! On to the WNIT title game!
