  1. FYI, the Chain of Rocks Bridge is down to one lane today due to construction, if you’re coming from St Louis County along I270, be aware of it
  2. Or, was Shane Ford a Michael Schertz burner account???
  3. Depends on how many Minnesota fans show up. SIUE’s First Community Arena only holds 4000 maximum. If you really want to go, I’d say buy on line to guarantee a seat, I don’t see where you save any money waiting.
  4. Here’s the other side of it, how many players go into the portal and end up not getting anywhere close to what they are expecting?
  5. That is very true. They see no mistake. They can’t understand why anyone would think there was a mistake made.
  6. No idea, I’m taking as close to the action as I can get.
  7. Tickets are on sale right now. Go to the slubilliken.com website to order tickets per normal. When you click on the WNIT tickets, it takes you to the SIUE ticket office, and you need to sign up there and pay through them. Tickets were $25 each for both General Admission and General Admission-Courtside. I, of course, went for Courtside. The tickets aren’t electronic, you print them out at home. If your a Billiken fan and you can’t drive to Edwardsville for a game….
  8. Is the band going to be at SIUE on Saturday is the better question
  9. Wonder if the SLU women are still trapped in Burlington, VT by the blizzard?
  10. We need more Billiken fans at Citipark in that case. SIUE loaded the place up with Cougar fans last year.
  11. I wonder if SIUE will have the Bronze Boot Trophy set up in a prominent place so all the SLU fans can see it as they head on in to the gym?
  12. From the WNIT website: The WNIT Championship game between Minnesota and Saint Louis will be played at SIU-Edwardsville, Saturday, April 6 at 3 p.m. ET, broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Ticket link coming soon!
  13. They need to make sure they figure out the venues beforehand. See this year’s WNIT for reference…
  14. If we are going to dig up a corpse and reanimate someone, I want John Wooden…
  15. Right now I’d say beggars can’t be choosers. If it can be set up to broadcast a national game within 48 hours (already logistically difficult), then go for it. I would not be surprised to hear that CBS SN is calling the WNIT every 15 minutes on the phone and screaming at them “Where do we go to get this set up?”
  16. And I forgot to add, normally a school which goes and helps another gets some goodwill points from other NCAA schools in the country club atmosphere of the NCAA Presidents. HOWEVER, in this case, the NCAA is actively trying to kill off the WNIT and replace it with the WBIT, which the NCAA controls. So another university which helps the WNIT may actually cheese off the rest of the NCAA. Just another little tidbit in the whole thing
  17. Maybe. Any place they select will have to be a place which is set up to broadcast a game, or CBS SN will tell them no, and be able to seat an audience of some kind. The two places in the St Louis area most likely to be able to do that are SIUE or Lindenwood (which are D1 schools in the OVC where they are set up for broadcasting games) or the University of St Thomas in Minnesota. Only a little over 48 hours to make this happen, so they need to figure out something.
  18. Maturi Pavillion looks like it’s connected to Williams Arena. What if whatever they have going on up there needs both spaces? Seems like if that was the plan it would have already been announced. I’m getting really curious to see how this turns out, the WNIT had to know there was a real chance of this happening for several days now.
  19. I think around 1000 max for a Volleyball game. But the bleachers are set up for a Volleyball sized arena, not basketball.
  20. From the WNIT website: The Gophers (20-15) will take on Saint Louis in the title matchup, which is set for tipoff (location TBA) at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 6, to be broadcast by CBS Sports Network. So it’s TBA arena for now…
  21. Playing at Harris-Stowe’s Emerson Center doesn’t look good.
