  1. That’s an excellent question, what does our non-conference schedule look like right now? I don’t think there are many games we are locked into.
  2. It’s so early that it’s totally meaningless and a waste of my time to read, and their time to create in the first place
  3. Travis Ford is available and needs a job.
  4. So where do we stand on incoming freshmen for next year? I think we had 1 new Billiken, when will we know if he’s still coming? How about ISU incoming freshmen? Are they still bound for Terre Haute, or would some consider following the new coach? I presume if Coach Schertz wanted them at ISU for his system, he would want them for SLU. Realistically this will probably take some time to play out, what do people think is a realistic timeframe to know if they are coming to SLU or not? 2 weeks? Within the month?
  5. Terre Haute IS the big city in that part of Indiana…
  6. So are Frank and Kevin Slaten talking up Ahearn for the Kentucky job that just opened up?
  7. Ultimately, what does it matter what happened 8 years ago. Whatever misgivings people had, Travis Ford was our coach. Time for all Billkens to rally to the new coach, and they did. After 3 or so years, the hire looked pretty good. Towards the end of year 8? Not good at all. Will the Josh Shertz hire look good 4 years from now? I don’t know. All I know is that he is now our coach, this is our team, so let’s get excited about rooting for our team and wishing them tons of future success.
  8. Very nice. Now you need a Kipp Keller in FC Cincinnati kit. Your hobby never ends…
  9. She was doing color commentary on the Loy-Chi game telecast.
  10. Julia Martinez didn’t make it because they allocate slots to teams and only look at points. The two teams that lost in the “Fab 4” each get one, the player who scored the most on each team. Check. Minnesota, as runner up, gets 2. With Maya Braun injured, they went with the two who most scored in their tournament run. That leaves 2 for St Louis. Kyla McMakin gets on the all tournament teams for scoring the second highest amount of points, and Peyton Kennedy, who carried the Billikens for the entire run, gets MVP. Very deserved, I might add. They don’t look at other stats besides points, but they should. Retire #11. Hang that jersey up and don’t give it out to any future Billiken player. Julia Martinez is in a class all by herself for everything she did.
  11. What got me was them complaining about the traveling they had to do in the post season. The B1G women’s tournament was at the Target Center in Minneapolis, so they had to play 2 games (they lost in the second round in the B1G) in a different arena in the same city, then they got a first round bye in the WNIT, then played 2 games at home. Their only real traveling all postseason was this week, when they went to Laramie, WY on Monday, then Troy, AL on Wednesday, then came straight here (as reported here when someone saw them arrive in Lambert Thursday morning). The Billikens postseason schedule was 3 games in the A10 tournament in Henrico, VA, on the road to Conway, AR for game 1 (while Minn was sitting at home), then one home game, then Fort Wayne, IN, then Madison, WI, then Burlington, VT, then Edwardsville. The Minnesota postseason was 2 home games, 2 games in a different arena in their hometown, and 3 road games. The Billiken postseason was 1 home game, 1 game in a different arena in our hometown, and 7 road games. I will agree that their last week sucked, Laramie, Wy to Troy, AL to St Louis, but our traveling was Fort Wayne, IN to Madison, WI to Burlington, VT, then back to St Louis. They were probably in town resting up for the game before the Billikens were. Heavy is the burden of a P5 team forced to travel around the country for one week like they were a mere mid-major team….
  12. Couldn’t find the Bronze Boot Trophy, guess they didn’t want to take chances with all the Billiken fans around
  13. 43-27 halfway through the 3rd, keep it up
  14. Still more than a normal Chaifetz game
  15. Lower bowl totally filled, people in the upper area, 2500-3000?
  16. Very pro-Billiken crowd, only a few hundred Minn fans in the whole arena
  17. There are more SLU fans here than at most games at Chaifetz
  18. 33-21 Billikens at the half, keep it up!
