  1. The issue with that is that it's always been that way. That's part and parcel of the SLU Pep Band that makes it unique. There used to be a waiting list to get into the band, but so many people had either graduated or moved or couldn't commit to coming to a few games, that making it a student only band would be untenable. If I remember correctly, Richmond's band had some older looking folks in it at a home game I once went to, so we're not the only school that at least occasionally allows alumni.
  2. That's fine. Colleges have had bands at sporting events for over a century. They've always added to atmosphere and student and alumni engagement. Just because you don't care for it doesn't mean many other do.
  3. He has the enthusiasm, but they probably don't listen to his music.
  4. During basketball season, it's quite a bit more than 14 hours per week. The interim director put in a number of 30 hour weeks in addition to her full time job.
  5. I don't believe this has ever been a consideration, otherwise they'd read this board more often.
  6. Any day Dayton loses is a fantastic day.
  7. Especially since we're such a baseball city, this makes sense. Wouldn't it be cool to have a Jordan Goodwin-esque story for a SLU player to go into the Cardinals system? The investment should be there.
  8. Lol that's a disgrace with as much money as we have.
  9. Thought it was cool to see Highmark and Clagget's freshman pictures and all the ads, the game predates my existence by 4 years.
  10. SLU 1991-1992 Season program Found this at my grandma's house and thought it would be of interest to y'all. The signature personalized to my grandma is Ed Macauley's.
  11. This might be a smooth brained take from me, but the word "intent" should hold weight. We use intent to differentiate between degrees of assault and murder, so if someone intends to do something and resources are allocated accordingly, shouldn't backing out from a letter of intent carry some consequences to eligibility?
  12. Well, I could give you several possible answers, but you wouldn't like any of them and a few of them wouldn't be board appropriate
  13. This is a good word to describe his facial expressions courtside.
  14. I'm a super recent grad (2019) and I totally agree with you. I never felt more myself than when I was at SLU.
