Respectfully I understand your feelings about Travis Ford recruiting in the off season.

Win or lose the best part of being a Billikens fan is attending games.  My wife gets so excited she wants to get in Chaifetz as early as possible to watch the Billikens practice.  All of the home games have been so exciting we have had a lot of fun this season in spite of the losses.

I am never comfortable about talking about players leaving.

I think the Swede, Andre can still be that stretch 4 we want if he puts on muscle.  I watch him at practice Andre has a nice 3 point shot.  Andre needs to have a Conklin summer and come back strong.  He still has 3 years of eligibility left.

Totally get all the above.. Sadly don't live in STL or midwest, so rarely make it to games. On the fortunate occasion that I do, it is by far the best.

I also agree that it's probably bad form to talk about players leaving, but the landscape and attitude has also changed drastically over the last two years it's hard to ignore. I don't want anyone to leave team blue. I simply listed the three most likely candidates in my eyes but it could be anyone or no one.

likely UD will end up the 2 or 3 seed, and bonnies the 4th. Unless Davidson loses at home to GMU it'll be:

    1)Davidson

    2-3) VCU/Dayton

    4) Bonnies

As SLU fans, given that's the most likely scenario, we should be on the Bona bandwaggon trying to get the A10 to reschedule the GW game. The more games Bona plays next week, the better. Would be kinda BS if they play less games than the rest.

  3. Potential 2022-2023 rotation:

Perkins (fingers crossed, but wouldn't blame him if he goes)

    Yuri

    Jnez

    Okoro

    Fred

    Gibson

    Parker

    TJ

    Traore

(another big from the portal, defense, defense, defense, is all we need)

    (another PG from the portal)

    Thames

    Kramer

    ---

I am sadly expecting some players to leave the program... I would assume they'd be some combo of Williams, the swede, and Strickland... With that potential reality, if we're able to bring in the two big pieces above in a 4/5 and a backup PG, we are better next year (a lot better). I fully expect a huge Travis Ford offseason which, thus far, is by far the most fun part of being a billiken fan.

The Bonabandwagon board is in the dark re Osunniyi's injury, although he is all but ruled out for tomorrow night at VCU.  His ankle was heavily wrapped in plastic with ice on Saturday, and he needed 2 man assist to help him ambulate at all.  In vintage Bona fashion, his replacement, Coulibaly, a transfer from Pitt, came off the bench and hit a huge basket at crunch time for Bona.  The Bonnies are weakened without their big eraser in the middle, but they are far from toast.

Agreed they aren't toast, but from watching teams that have ankle issues/injuries in big men I would be surprised if he's back before 2 weeks... Without him, their big man depth is abysmal. Coulibaly is no slouch, but, as a one man show, he isn't too imposing.

In The Wiz we trust, let’s get a couple wins before DC!

Yup... 3 needs -> team needs to right the ship fast, Travis needs to calm down (my main gripe with his coaching, when he goes crazy on the bench, the team usually tightens up), and we need to stay healthy.

If we string these last two wins together, we will head to DC with a ton of confidence.

This conference is cannibalizing itself. I could be wrong, but I don't think Osunniyi will be back for DC, and who knows what's wrong with Camara for Dayton. I like our chances against either of those teams with said missing pieces. Then it comes down to Davidson/Richmond/VCU... We know how we matchup with Davidson and Richmond, and we'll find out how we matchup with VCU on Saturday.

23 to 4 run by Richmond.  There’s your run. Ford was useless.  If you have to burn all your timeouts, you do it.  What’s the flip side?  A loss is a loss is a loss.

I have never seen a coach burn all timeouts with 10 minutes left. Maybe I’m just too young, but that sounds like a novel approach.

  7. As much as I love Jnez, it’s amazing to watch him get the ball on offense and look to Yuri for what the play was. Then on defense, he missed a box out that leads to an offensive board (just happened with Burton). If he’s looking to Yuri with the ball not knowing the play, how can you draw up a play in a timeout and expect him to know it? Ugh. Young gun, but I love his energy.
