Once we snag any combo of Turnbull, Pickett, Bradford, Williams, (insert PG name here), (inset 4-5 name here), we’ll be looking pretty. Praying I get to see a few pitbull posts soon.
Bump… 1/4 of the way there

I have no doubt we'll sign two bigs. We usually carry at least three bigs.
Agreed. If we get Connor, there’ll be another coming.

Getting Turnbull and Pickett would be amazing. Would just need a combo guard with good ball handling skills to backup Yuri if those two committed.
100%

Steph (Davidson), Paul George (Fresno st), Paul Millsap (La Tech), David West (Xavier before BEast), Jeremy Lin (Harvard), Gordon Hayward (Butler pre BEast), Kenneth Farried (Morehead St), and many many more

I would certainly take Williams over Pickett, but I don't get the impression this would be a decision to take Javon over him.
Pickett was way more efficient offensively in the past year in a harder conference than Williams. Yes, Williams is a better rebounder. I see them both as massive +'s to this roster. If we get Pickett, I am stoked. If we get williams, I am stoked.

I don't expect a commitment today, especially with a kid that just opened up recruitment days ago, but I think we are positioned to get him. Only school he's rumored around that can guarantee he'll be in the mix for a NCAA bid for 4 years. Yes, we may not make it all 4, but we should be in the hunt and well above .500 (and I am cautiously optimistic for another run - maybe the longest we've ever had).

I love this. Good for Yuri and good for the program. All the top 25 hype, Yuri leading the nation, and getting draft eval per Ford’s recommendation. All great publicity and steps in the right direction.

According to Bovada, SLU is +9000 to win it all next year. Same as Illinois. Dayton is +7000. Kinda wild to see SLU on a futures bet to win the national championship, but figured I’d share

We’re prob top 15 with just Williams
If we also add a serviceable backup PG, yes.

If we get Davion Bradford and Eric Williams, our team would be absurd. All that’s left is a backup PG and we’re top 10-15. If we get just one of those guys, a serviceable backup 3-5, and a PG, we’re top 25.
It’s going to be a wild few weeks post final four. Buckle up.

I want Ford to be looking for Bigs where Okoro is the back up. Recruit higher than what you got!
I am sure he is... but given Okoro will be on a pre season all a-10 list (probably second team or honorable mention), that'll be hard to realistically pull

SLU has apparently reached out to Carlton Linguard from K-State.
not a lot on the kid, but he's 7'0" and made 4-11 from 3 this past season... If he can defend and rebound, he wouldn't be a bad backup to Francis.
-
I think Ramey had a great career. He scored 1,275 points averaging 10 ppg with the longhorns. That doesn't scream bad fit to me. I just think his coach left, he decided to stay another year, and now he's moving on.

Williams would fit perfectly. He'd be the only 3-4 that can actually play the 4 confidently. Perkins/TJ/Fred/etc. have less size than Williams (at least with the eye test).
If we get williams, still need a few 4-5s still and a 1.
all in all, Eric Williams would be a huge get and is realistic (I am referring to Eric in the post above - Kentucky would get K.J. Williams).

Ali isn't a combo guard but he can create own shot and pass a little. That's good enough for our purposes.
I expect he’s going to go high major. Arkansas, USC, UVA.

Last time they hired Stone it took for Fing ever. May is very deliberate.
He definitely takes his time. It’s typically worked. I think there are a few good HCs out there that would really help this program.

I think Cardet and Pickett are the only two we offered out of HS. Lot of intriguing names on this list.
My wish list (from Forte’s follow list) - Pickett, Grant Basile or Skogman, and a backup PG.

Hope everyone is safe

There are so many impressive names in the portal… we just need to hold onto our dudes and snag a few.
-
Yuri, Gibson, Perkins, Okoro, Fred, TJ, Parker, transfer big, transfer PG, and maybe more Traore if he develops…. I’d take that rotation any day.
Welcome, Javon Pickett!

This is pushing the envelop... I think this will be a big week or two and expect a lot of good things coming
