Everytime French "brings the ball up" its through some miscommunication with the guards and he hands it off. I haven't really seen French take the ball from the key and drive to the basket. I could be wrong. I wish he had the ability to do so like many NBA forwards do

I agree with everything but French handling the ball well. Linssen has way better ball handling off the dribble than French

When I say replace, I guess I mean fill in their role. I think a healthy Thatch replaced Bess. He will put up great numbers next year like Bess did I hope.

Thatch could play like Bess' old role and just guard Crutcher

Goodwin replaced Jett in my mind as the face of the Billikens Strickland has the tools Goodwin has in every aspect I have seen besides rebounding

And I guess A10 talk has a great article that just came out about Goodwin stepping up in Yuri's absence

Gibson has definitely stepped up his game. If he shows up I think we have a good chance if everyone does their part. Yuri off the floor seems to propel Goodwin as well.

I will say, French does seem to turn it up against tougher opponents.

French's defense is good but he is no longer the wall he once was. At least I havent seen it recently. And add in all the missed FT attempts the past 3 years, its easy to push it aside when its a blowout win but close games against B10 or whomever we play in the tournament will bite us in the butt. 0/4 can turn to 1/8 quickly

I do not understand how people called me a troll. Martin has improved and French has declined rapidly. He is not at a pro level or even close. I believe Bell has more blocked shots than him. Blame covid or whatever but he has lost his right to start. When we see Okoro play next year with Martin, we will see how deficient French really is in PF skillsets. This is not the French we used to have and I don't want recency bias to have us lose in the tournament. I legitimately believe Martin on the floor has more + than French now
