  1. I agree we don’t do it often. Against Fordham Traore twice passed the ball out to wide open 3 point shooters after offensive rebounds. GJ took the shot and made it. TJ didn’t shoot and passed the ball to reset up top. if we can continue/improve at least on this these are high percentage shots
  2. Great! These two plays with Linssen are the first I’ve seen him actively create for others in the games I’ve watched this season. Gets me pumped
  3. If Nesbitt can consistently create for others like he did for Linssen…it would make our offensive so dangerous
  4. My thoughts after attending the game: I wish we would have ran more set pieces on offense. I expect to outrun such teams, which won’t be the case during the season. I’m not as impressed by the rebounding. We missed numerous put backs and kept getting the rebound. Yes, on some level it reflects hustle…and missed opportunities. I expect to out rebound a team we are more athletic and bigger than. Overall, this is why there are exhibition/tune up games.
  5. I’m in agreement. The fastbreaks are exciting. It doesn’t let me know about our half court offense tho. I was wishing to run more set pieces. Especially, when the game is out of hand so early on.
  6. Yes, I’m in support of this strategy. I was merely making a case for Linssen being a better passer than French
  7. I agree with your scoring and defensive assessment. I think Linssen is a more polished passer. He had 3 assists last night and played 13 minutes less than French who had 0 assists.
  8. I wish French would use his court vision and hit GJ for the open 3. He’s been wide open twice now
  9. Perhaps we are finally getting some recognition: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28577356/ncaa-tournament-bubble-watch-updated-look-wildest-bubble-years Saint Louis. Last seen recording consecutive road wins by double-digit margins at Rhode Island and George Mason, the Billikens have zero Tulsa-type NET issues. Clocking in with a 50-something ranking for the metric in question, Travis Ford's team is actually above such Bubble Watch mainstays as NC State, South Carolina and Memphis (to say nothing of Furman, Stephen F. Austin and the aforementioned Bruins). No, SLU's absence from mock brackets may stem instead from an insufficiency in big wins (at Richmond and URI) relative to losses (eight of them, including two in Quad 3). It's a close case, however, and, obviously, if that overtime period at home against Dayton had ended in victory, we're having a different conversation.
  10. Evans definitely a talented and great Billiken. I hope Strickland has or develops a consistent 3 point shot tho
  11. I’m impressed with Jacobs defensive effort this half!
