  1. They almost had another Quad 4 loss tonight. They may have the most talent, but they’re gonna be up and down all year.
  2. Again, I understand. I didn’t mention our at-large chances once in my post. It was entirely about comparing this Billikens team to every other A10 team, specifically the teams listed in the Wiz’s post to start this thread.
  3. I absolutely agree that the A10 is a muddled mess. And this is is just me, I’m NOT judging anyone who has a different perspective, but I just don’t look at this season from the perspective of: if we make the tournament, the season was a success. If we don’t make the tournament, the season was a failure. I fully understand why other fans do look at it that way. Like I said, it’s not a judgement. The way the league looks, I don’t see ANY team winning 15 conference games, assuming all the games are played. But I’m just saying that I don’t think any team is clearly better than SLU in the A10 right now.
  4. Understood. But how is that any different than any other team in this league?
  5. I’m curious why anyone thinks the Bonnies or VCU or Dayton are so much better than us right now, because I just don’t see it. The Bonnies just got absolutely torched by Virginia Tech and really haven’t put 2 halves of basketball together against any team except maybe Marquette, who is realistically 1 of the worst teams in the Big East. VCU has lost to every decent team they’ve played save Syracuse in a MTE game. Dayton has, by far, the best win of any A10 team, but also 3 Quad 4 home losses. My point being that every team in the league this year has been just as frustratingly inconsistent as we have, but we really don’t have any truly bad losses. The UAB and Belmont games were bad because we shouldn’t have lost, but they’re also both potentially tournament teams. I get an email from teamrankings.com after each of our games and they have is as the best team in the A10 too. I understand the frustration, I really do. But we lost our best player in the first exhibition game. That’s not anybody’s fault. We’ve had to find a whole new identity on the fly, with no time to prepare. And it’s not just people drinking the blue kool-aid who have us as the best team in the A10 right now. Take a step back, loosen up, take a breath, and let’s enjoy conference play. It’s gonna be crazy.
  6. I agree there’s a difference. And I agree it’s ok to be upset. I’ve criticized Ford and the play of the team on this board more times than I can count. But it’s also true that certain posters ONLY focus on the negative. They take that negativity to an extreme that’s just simply not realistic. I’m not trying to start a war here. I’m not going to name any names. But I’m sure everybody notices them. That was my point. The line is becoming blurred between the people who are just venting frustration, and the people who are being negative for the sake of being negative.
  7. Liberals comparing Trump to Hitler are just as dumb. I’ll give you that.
  8. Not trying to be a d!ck, but church doctrine means absolutely nothing to me. If it’s that important to you, don’t get vaccinated and don’t go to go to games. Or get tested and do go to games. Either way. I’m done arguing about it.
  9. No, it’s started with the putsch which, if we’re being honest, more closely aligns with the January 6th attacks on the Capital than vaccine mandates.
  10. Good for you. That should be the case. But the job has gotten done, has it not?
  11. That post from @HenryB was so nonsensical, I just ignored it. Of course, anything could kill me at any given moment, that doesn’t mean I don’t try minimize that risk. I could die in a car crash every time I get behind the wheel, that doesn’t mean I don’t wear a seatbelt.
  12. It’s been 2 years. You’re still working. You obviously CAN effectively do your job with a mask on.
  13. It’s weird that when I explained how it wasn’t experimental or rushed, you had no response. Nor did you have a response to the Trump administration being the ones trying to rush out the vaccine. Funny how that works.
  14. I hate wearing a mask too. But people acting like they can’t do their jobs if they’re wearing a mask are just lying. Sure, it sucks to wear a mask. And I agree if they move to vaccine/negative test, you shouldn’t have to wear masks at the game. But let’s be real here.
  15. 1st it was that the vaccine was “experimental”. Then it was “rushed”. Now you’re claiming that it doesn’t work. I mean, how many times are you gonna move the goal posts, big dog?
  16. That is still your choice. No one has taken that choice from you. But certain establishments may not allow you to enter their private property without being vaccinated. That is their right. Just like it’s a baker’s right to refuse service to a gay couple looking to buy a wedding cake. There’s a huge difference between the federal government saying, “if you don’t get vaccinated, we’ll prosecute you.” and private institutions saying “you can’t come to our basketball game if you’re not vaccinated.” You do understand that, right?
  17. You’re kidding me, right? You’ve got to be F-ing kidding me!
  18. I’m sure you’ve made due and figured out how to communicate despite the thin piece of fabric hanging on your face. Imagine not having a husband or wife or father or mother, how much more that would change your life than wearing a mask has.
  19. Judgmental stares and muffled speech? Oh dear God no! I take it all back. I’m sorry everyone has had to endure such atrocities. It’s not like people have loved ones dying of Covid or anything.
  20. Oh please. No one is forcing you to get vaccinated. But if you choose not to get vaccinated, some businesses may not let you onto their private property. That’s where we’re at. That’s it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head to get vaccinated, nor should they. But all this melodrama about nazis and freedoms is tired. It’s just tired.
  21. So you’re agreeing with me? Nobody’s life has dramatically changed from any of this. Got it
  22. No, but they have to present them when entering a place that requires them. Same as now. How many places, total, in your day to day life, actually require you to present proof of your Covid vaccine? 2? Can we stop pretending this has changed each individuals life on some dramatic way? It hasn’t. It just hasn’t.
