  1. @DoctorB and for anyone else interested, the condensed edition of the podcast is up now. Stuen can talk so I tried to pick some essential clips to include, and even then it ran up to 20 minutes, but hopefully that’s more digestible than 2+ hours. I’ll make sure to note down the important stuff going forward so I have better clips, but let me know if this is the type of short hand stuff that would make consuming the show easier for people. Also, for everyone that listens I changed the intro for the show, added a video element now so that it translates well to the YouTube form of the podcast. That is also included in this YouTube video, can also be found on our Twitter I will try to attach that link here as well. Thanks as always for following along.

I'd keep the longer interviews as just one podcast.

I'll second Pistol in that on a weekend if I'm working in the yard, mowing the lawn, fixing something around the house, whatever, I can knock out a couple of these longer podcasts

I’d also add on that episodes which don’t include an interview normally clock in around 45 minutes to an hour, which is a conscious decision on our part to keep things concise, so all we’ve been doing are abnormally long episodes in a row in place of not having basketball to talk about. Your normal listening work load is not much more than 45 minutes.

I actually wonder if your number of listeners would increase if you split this into two separate pods - each about an hour when you edit and trim some fat?  You could also provide some commentary on the topics covered in each pod at the start and end to build upon the fans perspective of the conversation.  As you have seen, many people shy away from listening based on the length alone.  I feel that you could take this route to still utilize the full interview, increase your pod downloads and provide the content you are looking to provide without sacrificing a large portion of the interview.

Excited to listen to this and happy to share feedback to help increase your listener base.  The more people interested in the Bills, the better!

I’m always happy for the responses from you guys. You are very much correct that our numbers would go up but it’s fluff too because it doesn’t mean our actual audience numbers are growing it just adds consistency to our numbers, especially when it comes to how we can actually use those numbers whether it’s sponsorship or otherwise.

Also, our numbers would indicate that when I used to split up the interviews into multiple episodes, the numbers were always lower on part two because people don’t always make it back to the second part, so that’s another place we could lose on those numbers. But also at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter that much because again it’s not really growing the audience as much as it maybe just inflated our egos about how successful the show is. Lol.

All of that being said as always we are happy to hear from people on the board or elsewhere about the show, curious what your thoughts are on changes, and happy to make changes so that this show best fits the audience it’s made for.

Also feels like you are assuming a lot because the numbers on the last episodes, some of our longest episodes, have all been some of our best numbers, meaning not too many people are shying away based on length.

I’m hopeful that posting clips of the full interviews in 5-10 minute segments that are some of the most enlightening parts of the show help people digest the content easier as well.

At any rate as always I’m grateful for the feedback and continued listens from everyone.

or any of it, ever.  I doubt if I'm the only one wanting a digest of this material; but if so I guess you all just have a lot more time on your hands.  It was an innocent question, just wondering.  Often HoosierPal and others give a useful digest of the radio shows, for those not able to catch it; how is this different??  I don't get the pushback...

Not complaining about the feedback at all. It will be something that I will add to our content list, maybe a 10 minute clip with the important takeaways from the show. At least we have a better idea of what everyone is wanting.

For those of us unwilling to take in 2.5 hours of this sort of thing: any highlights? new info?? updates on players/ summer workouts???  Gimme the 45-second version, please!

I will be cutting up more clips from the show of important quotes and putting those up on our YouTube channel. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any important information!

05 and whoever your partner is--------Great job on the podcast with Stuen.  Personally, I just can't listen to 2-3 hour podcast the way you have been doing them, but I just sat through this video version from start to finish and thought it was great, even with the few glitches that you had to deal with.  It was really enjoyable and very worthwhile for any Billikens fan.  Thanks

Because I don’t say my name at the beginning of every episode. Just giving you a hard time, I’m happy you liked it. As the season comes back and there are video highlight packages I can include and clip into the show, different media elements that can be added etc. First try and obviously as you said there were glitches we ran into. Curious did you throw this up on a tv, or just watch on your computer/mobile device?

  7. Just a friendly reminder that in a little over 5 hours our interview with Paul Biancardi drops. Make sure to check that out, Paul does Monday With Majerus on Twitter every Monday, has a lot of love for a Rick and a lot of great stories To tell about Rick (not as explicit as other interviews). If you haven’t in the mean time check out our other interviews, likely some more new stuff in the pipeline so as always stay tuned here, the way you guys have been listening to this podcast without any actual basketball is truly awesome and it’s very much appreciated. Hope you enjoy.

Fred Weber parking garage is an intriguing idea but imagine living on the east end of Grand Forest. Holy that would be a sucky view

I would counter this by saying I feel like watching a sporting event from the top of a parking garage on campus would be a blast, especially with downtown somewhere in the background depending on how it’s all laid out and again I have no idea how any of this would work or look. Also, anyone who has a problem with the views from their apartment/residence can bite it, we are talking about more important things here.

-we are land-locked too, so for example where would a tennis or lacrosse facility be built? someone posted a school did this so I am intrigued with a lacrosse field on top of a not announced, dream parking garage where the Weber Lot is, again this is a fantasy facility

@billikenfan05 talked about putting a lacrosse surface on top of the Olive/Compton garage, or we at least dreamed about what that would look like on the podcast a while back. I feel like the land locked nature of the sports complex will definitely make expansion for baseball brutal, if not impossible, but if there's a will there's a way. No idea what the actual dimensions would have to look like but, as has been mentioned already, without money this is a totally moot point.

Just listened to the Earl interview. Loved it. Earl lived up to his nickname as the awesome one.

Appreciate all the feedback on our recent interviews. Hopefully you guys check those out, if you haven’t yet go check our page and don’t forget to drop us a rate. Shameless plugs. Thank you again to everyone that is listening.

Rob and Dwayne were the perfect combination. Robs passing, shooting and skill level allowed us to space the floor and isolate Dwayne against guys who couldn’t guard him in the post. It was fun to watch.

We lived by the Rob screen at the top of the key in the Butler game (likely others just don’t want to over state what I don’t actually know) which was absolutely deadly because it’s either pick and roll, or more often times pick and pop. You never know what’s coming and both can kill you.

Not saying the 8 i mention are the best 8 but it would be my best "team" filling positions .

No way loe compares to Bonner

Probably not but it’s fun to be a little different. Also just watched the Butler/SLU match up and seeing him drop a hook, mid range jumper and two threes early in that game reminded me of his versatility, something I think I overlooked when he was playing.

Personally feels like the three you might almost have to have on there is Larry, Ed, and Claggett. Bonner is a strong case I love Rob Loe though and such a versatile player. Justin Love was a name I totally forgot.

  14. New episode out with @Pistol and Carter Chapley. Talked about SLUs newest commitments, broke down the 2019-2020 season, and did an all time team - in a perfect world if you could make a starting five of former Billikens players, what would that look like for you. Also included sixth men as well.  Let us know who you would put in your all time team.
