Are we going to see the Ivy League move up the conference power rankings? Their lack of athletic scholarship money in the past has limited their ceiling(along with academic standards), they may benefit the most incrementally of any conference.

Couple positive notes. A10 has won or pushed 9 of last 10 against the spread(Loyola/Fau exception) Monmouth upset West Virginia making Masons win a bit better.

Agreed, I don’t have knowledge of this situation but based on my experience as a student athlete(albeit awhile ago) I’d say if anyone has earned the benefit of the doubt in the athletic department, it would be her.

If Max Scherzer, Peter Fairbanks, and James Norwood were all throwing off season bullpens at SLU, I’d expect the first two to get more publicity on social media despite the latter being a SLU grad. And that’s ok.

As long as they aren’t pulling resources away from the program somehow, there is no downside to this and to come up with an argument otherwise is comical. As an ex SLU athlete, if any MLB player was on campus, regardless of if I was a recruit or player, I’d be ecstatic. I wouldn’t care where they went to school, it’s not like you can change that fact. You can be bitter they didn’t come here but them giving SLU exposure now is better than them not.

Fun fact… If Fordham, Duquesne, Richmond, and St. Bona lose today, only 4 A10 teams will have a winning conference record.

Not overly concerned with point distribution. Blocks have gotten in the team’s head the last few times playing them. Franco and Thatch are the two who go up hardest and tough to block threes from Gibby.

Not surprised there are different balls but am surprised that it’s not standardized across the conference, I believe that’s how baseball does it. One time we were at a neutral site game but were the ‘home’ team and we forgot to bring new balls to provide. Picked what we could up from Walmart or sonething that fit the rules but I swear those were from the dead ball era, not sure a ball got out of the infield on a fly that day.

So do we pull for Bonnies, VCU, and Davidson today against the cup cakes for long term NET Q1/Q2 reasons or pull for upsets for league/chaos reasons?

I think we’ll be surprised how good we are next year. As much as French and Goodwin were needed to revitalize the culture of the program and overall competitiveness, there were significant gaps, particularly on offense that both of them caused. Neither had a true position which caused confusion for opponents when we were on or when we had a matchup advantage but when we faced a good defense or shooting was off, we had no offensive structure to fall back to. Bully ball was needed after the time but I think we saw that it had it’s ceiling. We have a lot of experience coming back, I’m looking forward to see Yuri and Perkins leading with Hargrove’s athleticism and energy, Okoro’s true big man skillset, and some actual plays to get GJ open once he gets his mojo back.

Questions that will determine whether this is just an optic issue or an absolutely idiotic lapse of judgement that deserves true backlash.
1. Does the son live with or did he come into contact with TFord (or other family members that would come into contact with TFord) after this?
2. Was TFord or other family living with or in contact with TFord at this?
yes on either of these and this is bad news for us and should lead to backlash3. No for the above but did he fund this?
I’m assuming this is a yes. This is bad optics that may effect trust from players and the school but not really ‘punishable’.
