  1. If they gave Yuri 200k I might give up my season tickets. I like Yuri but he is replaceable. He won’t take TN over the top. He’s a good guard but not great.
  2. Are you honestly asking this question like you don’t know? Didn’t see any blue font.
  3. I feel the same way about most people sports. But it’s also because of the owners greed not just the players.
  4. Did you see what Jacobs did this past year in a lesser conference? Pretty much nothing. Jacobs had a load of talent but no killer instinct. I wish Yuri the best and I liked watching him play. But I have a feeling at 6’ and a half step slow he’s going to have issues facing big P5 guards every game. I hope I’m wrong and he strives.
  5. Yuri will be a hike to fill no doubt. But I don’t think it’s a sky is falling hole. Yuri really struggled against guards bigger and athletic. He had several rough games to go along with his outstanding games. If he goes to a P5 conference I think his number are likely to take a big drop. He played hard here was fun to watch and was an asset for sure. I wish he was staying. But I’ll hold judgement until I see who his replacement is. It might not be a bad thing.
  6. His interview with Jim Rome talking about slump busting was pretty good.
  7. Really? Going to a third school in 3 years. Did you watch his overall play last year? He had flashes but nothing that screamed “man he would be an upgrade for a top 25 team”. Jordan has a ton of talent. But watching him play you could see he doesn’t want to follow a system he wants to play for Jordan. That’s hard to coach.
  8. With our resources, building, and local talent pool there is no reason we shouldn’t be the Gonzaga of the Midwest even playing I the A-10. Unpopular opinion but I’d go to the MVC if it meant we could go to a final 4 like Loyola. I’m glad we’re in the A-10 vs the MVC but I do wish we had a lot more games we could travel to easier.
  9. Sorry if I’m skeptical because of the last two overseas recruits that didn’t see and meaningful playing time. I know at SLU’s level you have to look for players like this and hope you hit. But to even have a conversation about starting is silly. Hopefully we get him and he’s that’s good. But I’m skeptical until we see him. Not counting Martin because he played over here and had a track record.
  10. I wonder if he got a reality check on where he thinks he is versus where he really is as far as the NBA goes.
  11. When was the last time a player left and lit it up somewhere else? Let’s see where they land and how things turn out. But the guys leaving the program haven’t been going to schools in the same level of higher and tearing it up
  12. I would say Nesbitt’s fault. He could have shined had he choose to play within a team. He didn’t that’s why he was on the bench so much. Maybe Nesbitt could have done better under a different coach. Penny recruited over him pretty quick. I went to the Memphis game. It was pretty clear on the court why Nesbitt left Memphis. He wasn’t going to get many minutes there. I was hoping Jordan would stay and develop into a great player. Nobody doubts the talent being there. But I’ll stick with my observation that it’s a pretty big gap between he and Larry.
  13. I think you forgot the blue font in this statement. No one is saying Jordan isn’t a great talent. But he’s nowhere near Larry’s talent. Even if he is the most talented since Larry.
  14. Sure it needs to change. But how has Gordan panned out other places? Don’t think you can blame him on Ford. I wish Nesbitt well. But you can tell he didn’t buy in and wanted to play his own way. You can’t do that. Also his second school in little over a year. We’ll see how this pans out for Jordan. Hopefully well but I don’t see that happening.
  15. Very true. But what’s frustrating is watching our guys use screens. Especially Yuri. He leaves enough room for the defender to stay on him a lot. It doesn’t seem like our guys brush their defenders off very well.
  16. I thought for sure the other 3 would transfer. I had it 50/50 on Jordan being back. Hopefully he comes back and he and Ford can find some common ground. Good luck to Jordan if he doesn’t come back. Loads of talent.
  17. Hard to coach up slow. The limited time he played he got beat in defense pretty bad. Feet were very slow. I wish him the best and hope he catches in with a place that can offer him minutes.
  18. Do I had to google her. Aside from her picture I read an article on her. Sounds like she plays a style I would go watch. In your face pressure defense from baseline to baseline. Her D2 averaged forcing 30 turnovers a game. Sign me up. I think I’d go watch some women’s games.
  19. If we have some more transfers is Luke Northweather someone that could be a worth while project? Shoots over 40% from 3 and is 6’10”. I wouldn’t look at him as an immediate impact but someone who bulk up and become something.
  20. Wish him the best. But I think this is one we all saw coming. I’m expecting at least 2 more to go with him. A question for those more knowledgeable. Where does he wind up conference wise. What’s a good level where he’ll have a impact or get meaningful minutes?
  21. Duke lost that same year as a two seed I believe.
