Lol I am still around. Sorry I haven't posted enough. I have kids that I have coached in college that I have been spending time supporting and I support the local high school scene as well. I watched the 1st game and listened to the 2nd half of VA Tech game on the radio. What ACE and Moytoy12 have...is to much time on their hands. I have watched the same number of Mizzou games that I have SLU. I have also watched Duke and Kansas St. Going to watch a Div 2 game tomorrow lol. But I read posts daily. Thanks for thinking about me. Those should be good games. I believe James Wiseman transferred to Memphis East. And Wheeler has a 6'10 big. Can't wait.

Yeah. They both have offers. SLU isn't heavily recruiting McKinney. Missouri is the favorite locally for McKinney but they both are still looking. They are poised to have big seasons and BBE will be loaded this summer.

Just passing on info. That comes from one of the parents. Mario and EJ are pretty close. They share similar offers...they make the majority of their visits together. Mario has a SLU offer but isn't being actively recruited. Things can change tho.

Lol. Nice Seems like most do. Gets it out the way so they can focus on their season. Some coaches put a lil pressure for kids to sign as well. Can be a nervous situation for the coaches as well as the fans

Pretty much. They tell the kids you are our first option but it's pretty much 1st come 1st serve in most cases. But some schools just throw out lot of offers. Two stories come to mind. 1) kid is the top option at SG. He really likes the school but his parents want to visit other schools. Sets up other visits and then the second option commits. 2) kid has offer...wants to commit but the asst coach tells him "the head coach wants to see you a few more times". Kid luckily had another offer elsewhere and went there.

Good signing. From everyone's description...sounds like he fulfills a need on the wing for the future.

Spot on analysis. I saw THT this summer at a tournament locally. I compared him to Barkley as well (I'm frame) lol. He would definitely fit in with the type of players Ford and his staff are bringing in.

I agree with your first two points. As for AAU...the shoe companies have ruined it. At the high level most AAU teams are sponsored by shoe companies. They give them a budget to pay for their season. They put the demands on coaches to produce results or lose their sponsorship. So you can imagine the battle for the accumulation of players. Some of these coaches have no shame in that regard. In addition they have the teams play in tournaments and Leagues so the college coaches sometimes get exclusive looks at the players in an effort to steer them to a University they sponsor. Shoe companies even sponsoring High Schools now. The competition to find the next "star" to promote is becoming unhealthy for the sport.
