  1. As a student currently abroad at our Madrid campus, I am not surprised. There's no athletic program over here so that's the main reason. Well, also the fact that every 18-22 year old over here smokes like a chimney.
  2. MY with a fantastic (need that blue type) shot.
  3. What is Bartley doing on that drive? My goodness that shot was awful.
  4. I really am frustrated watching Wantanabe play. He is shooting well tonight but it seems like his game could be so much more and it isn't.
  5. I agree with the premise of not hating the players, some of them have moments of enjoyable play. However, it is clear that major change is needed, and that frustrating play is far too prevalent. The mirage of upside is much harder to see for the sophomore class, though I agree JB shows promise and should be a good 4 year player. The group might be "unhateable" in the words of the author, but this roster and coaching is incredibly frustrating.
  6. The ideal fit for Tatum (aside from hiring him last summer as a validation of his coaching prowess and way to land JT) is to be an assistant under the next coach. Perhaps if SLU went with an older guy, tabbing Justin as the coach in waiting would be a decent way to have him grow with the program as it is rebuilt. I think he is a solid coach and one deserving of an assistant post for a college program, but as many have said, hiring him now would still cause a collective head shake for not hiring him last summer.
  7. I don't think it would happen. But what an emotional roller coaster that could provide if then younger decided to not go to Duke...
  8. Also, SLU offered the aforementioned Godwin Boahen on March 1st, per his coach.
  9. Reggie had improved tremendously, as of late. Before the last few weeks his performance was not all that different from last year.
  10. I believe so until his foot started bothering him. He is a gifted offensive player and having two legs underneath him next season would lead to a big senior year.
  11. Bishop and Crawford are tied in my eyes. An off-season of improvement for JB and a chance for MC to rest would do wonders for the team. As dreadful as the past two years have been, those two could form an above average A-10 backcourt. I really think Crawford is going to have a huge year next year, especially if a new system is employed and we can run him off some baseline and flare screens.
  12. Hiring Porter would have one benefit that I personally know off the bat and it is random. But it would possibly open up the door for us to be in the Maui invitational. Really can't explain much more than that without names and such. But it is a thing.
  13. A 10 million dollar buyout?!? His agent is a genius if that is accurate. Or the Memphis AD believed they would never have to buy him out. Ever.
  14. Some video. Unfortunately it is just mix tapes and not more game film stuff. Observations are that he is obviously a more undersized guard, appears to be quick, and strong for his size.
  15. Earlier in the season it was mentioned Crean was in the hot seat at IU. They clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season today. Really has nothing to do with us, but just an incredible turnaround from disappointment to then make it to the top of a loaded conference.
  16. Absolutely loving what MC is doing on the floor, despite that last drive. He will be big for us next year and is one of the reasons we could be respectable.
  17. It wasn't as much about the claim for him being the most of all time as the percentage. That is way to high unless you are converting at an extremely efficient clip. I like aspects of Milik's game quite a bit, but efficiency and shot selection are not acceptable at this point in time.
  18. https://twitter.com/BillikensStats/status/702961312695918592?s=09 Regardless of who is coaching, this has to change.
  19. Wouldn't be a game this year if we didn't forget how to score entirely.
  20. While Wade was a VCU assistant, they hired him out of mid major Chatanooga.
  21. Has anyone found a working stream? I've cycled through my usual sites and all of them are choppy.
  22. Not sure if I am incorrect on this, but didn't Reggie show consistency down the stretch last year too? I'm all for him and Crawford anchoring this team next year as seniors, but I remember coming into the season expecting more out of RA. Bishop has been enjoyable to watch since becoming a full-time player, and should only improve more with additional work over the summer and a little bit more time in the weight room. He is probably the guy I am looking most forward to watching over four years. Neufeld has shown signs of improvement recently, but the most encouraging thing with him is that he appear to look far less stiff moving down the court. It looks like he is getting more comfortable with his body and far less awkward. While he has been really overmatched at times, there are moments where he looks like a competent big man and I think he could be a major contributor next year. As this season winds down, I find myself already looking forward to November of next year. No matter how bad it gets in the moment, I never want to see the season end. Though that does mean baseball season is upon us.
