    I am.
    And a Butler fan.
And an IU fan.  (Not so much a Purdue fan.)
    And a SLU fan.
    I like basketball.

Our Town's Connor Turnbull transferring from Butler.  He was hurt most of this year. He could qualify for a red shirt season, giving him three years eligibility.
He showed offensive promise, but had difficulty defending in the Big East. In a very limited sample size, he hit 45% from the arc (14 of 31).

Honest question. Did you think Ford was overpaid? I'm OK with matching but don't come back in a couple of years and say May was stupid to do such a contract.

The FAU campus is 2 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.  The SLU campus is 2 miles from the Mississippi River.  😁

If you recall your history, (they still teach history, don't they?) Mastodons roamed the southern region of the Great Lakes thousands of years ago.  I'm guessing @Old guy was around back then.  Anyway, IPFW [Indiana-Purdue Ft. Wayne - that's what it originally] was built in the late 1960's. About that time a mastodon bone was found in nearby Angola IN. The full skeleton was later found.  When IPFW got around to sports nicknames, the student body voted and hence became the Mastodons.

Runner up to Mastodons was the IPFW Old Guys.

During his time with the Sycamores, Larry Bird played a college baseball game.(1979) Bird was often in the training room icing his legs and getting massages when Indiana State baseball coach Bob Warn took a shot at Bird. -You're a real wuss,'" Warn recalls telling Bird. "'Every night, I see you. You're just here in the training room icing,'" The marketing ploy worked. Warn estimated that some 3,000 people flocked to watch Bird, the basketball star, play baseball. He had two injury scares. One was when he collided with the catcher and, for a couple of seconds, did not move at all. The other was in an infield pop-up between first base and home plate. Bird once again collided with the catcher and did not move. "All the time I'd been playing basketball, I've never been knocked out," Bird once said. "One baseball game and I get it. I was really hurt. So, end of career — one for two, .500 average, two RBI. I figured I couldn't do much better than that."

I'm not sure I understand the animosity sense I get from the billiken.com mbm's for Schertz wanting to finish his season.
My gosh, any man of character would have made it clear from the first communication about the billiken opening that he wanted to finish his season with the sycamores.
He owes it to Indiana State, the fans and mainly his team to see the season to the end.  Personally, I like Schertz even more for taking this stance.  I am rooting for all the success he can accomplish.

    Ok.  Thanks.
I'd be looking at the list of coaches whose team has been eliminated from the NCAA tourney these past three days.  No coach will dump his team in the midst of a tourney run.
Or did the email say "as early as....."

Better score a lot.  That lineup really lacks defensive skills.  Small PG, a center floor bound and not quick, two off-guards that are adequate at best on D ..... do like Kent a lot.

I think the school keeps 75% and 25% gets distributed to the conference. Amount is payable over 6 years.

Per Scott H and Frank, NCAA shares are $1.95 M per game.  A10 collected $4M yesterday.

I appreciate your and @cheeseman civil responses.  I understand your positions.
Perhaps I care more about the students than others on this board. (No I'm not indicting you or Cheese.)  The experience of college, and college athletics, can't be replicated.  I have no problem with the ISU athletes and students having this run in the NIT.  There is no guarantee that they will have anything like it again, so I say let them enjoy it, all the way to Hinkle.

Curious as to how everyone handles the desk setup for today’s games. Sitting pretty with the multiple monitors + iPad this afternoon. Productively working on the Penske File, boys.

I listened to the Opening Drive and the last two segments of today's show, and I don't know what you are upset about, unless it is the other two segments.
Frank stated he talked on the phone to several people actively involved with the search.  He stated Schertz has talked directly (not through his agent) to Dr. Chaifetz, Fred P, Chris May and Joe Conran.  Apparently Schertz won't accept any job until his team is out of the NIT.  He is still in the running for other jobs.
Frank asked Dr. Chaifetz if he 'was your guy'.  Chaifetz reportedly said, "We are talking to other coaches, some who are coaching in the NCAA Tourney."  The only other name that Frank and Rammer talked about was Bryce Drew.  Bob commented that Grand Canyon has several Dr. Chaifetz level backers.
Corey Tate, as current Interim Coach, goes to the office each day.  So does Harriman.  Jimerson is interested in staying, but hasn't committed.  (He apparently likes Coach Tate.)
Parker has heard from quite a few P6 schools.
Outside of the SLU talk, the story on the Iowa lineman was interesting.  This football player originally committed to Iowa but flipped to Alabama on signing day.  At the beginning of the Jan portal, he transferred to Iowa.  Now, 3 months later, he is transferring back to Alabama.
I’m interested in your reaction. Where was the meltdown mode as I missed it.
