  1. This was posted yesterday by SBUnfurled, so it is dated. Two interesting points from the analysis, Loyola and GW are doing well in the portal. The MVC is being devastated, with Indiana State, SIU, Drake, Missouri State and UIC all listed on the greatest Portal Losses. OVR is player value gained or lost. Some of the posters probably can't see this. You can go to SBUnfurled if interested.
  2. It’s amazing how some posters don’t understand the portal even with the Bills right in the middle of it. It’s the Wild West out there, not your parents NCAA. I’ll take a potential Quad 1 or a Quad 2 game any day, anywhere.
  3. Using last year’s team ranking is meaningless. How many of Santa Clara’s players hit the portal? Who did they bring in? If the Billikens can jump from 185 to a two digit ranking many other teams can also. Wait until the rosters are set before speculating on the strength of a team. It’s a new world out there. Throw past trends out the window.
  4. Scherzer mentioned this on his Coach’s interview show with Rammer. He said it would be a significant opponent.
  5. Troy R’s interview last week with Frank and Rammer got into how this all works.
  6. No Williford on the roster. Count him gone.
  7. Stu's short article: https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/corey-tate-retained-as-assistant-coach-on-josh-schertzs-slu-staff/article_c49e5888-fdb9-11ee-96f4-7bc908617d59.html
  8. Excellent “In the near future” was about five hours. Stu said he will be an off campus recruiter. His JUCO connections may be more valuable than HS connections in today’s basketball.
  9. On his opening segment today Frank Cusumano said “If you are a fan of Corey Tate, I think you will get some good news in the near future”.
  10. @slufan13 I quoted my post and the photos once again appear for me.
  11. I'm going to assume that you cannot view the photo's I posted. I don't know what to tell you as they appear on both my cell phone and my laptop. I trust your software is up to date? I posted the photos from my cell, which is an Apple. Perhaps your software and Apple aren't compatible, or perhaps this platform throws a curveball.
  12. During his radio interview with Rammer and Ackerman last week, Coach said, at the time of the interview, he had two on his roster, and he named Thames and Hughes. He then said that Billiken fans would receive good news the following day - Jimerson returning, and that he would then have 10 scholarships to fill. My conclusion from his statement is that Williford is not on his roster. He would have said 9 to fill had he counted Williford. Was he released from his NLI by Schertz? Did Williford request a release? Will Schertz re-recruit him? Those are questions to be answered.
  13. If you are interested in the BVF, listen to Frank's interview yesterday with Troy. He came out and stated that Caleb Love's agent called last year and said he wanted to come to SLU for $XYZ. He was out of the budget. But he would have been the Billiken's 2 Guard if the funds had been there. He also said that there are only 4 people, the BVF Board, that knows exactly how much is in the BVF. He also pointed out that any booster can go through the Billiken Exchange and pinpoint your money to a specific athlete. The BVF isn't involved with that. So the BVF isn't the whole NIL pot. Billiken Loyalty Program was explained. It is for Graduating Seniors that have been with the school for 2 years. TJ Hargrove is getting a nice check from the Loyalty Program this year. You can go to BVF and direct your funds to BVF Loyalty Program for TJ. Segment 5 from 4/15. https://590thefan.com/radio-shows/press-box/
  14. Scratch DeLoach off the list
  15. In the interview with Cusumano Schertz said he made his decision after the Utah game.
  16. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/everyone-had-questions-so-josh-schertz-sought-refuge-on-job-in-restaurants/article_890f1082-fb61-11ee-a157-d779d6575ec2.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share
  17. Think the nations leading three point shooter might fit here? Show him the money
  18. Nice interview by Frank Cusumano. Timing of Schertz decision is interesting. He is complimentary of SLU's selection process. Good stuff on his son. https://x.com/Frank_Cusumano/status/1779986070353887367
  19. Busy couple of weeks ahead for visits This week, Dotzler, Turnbull, Avila, Swope, and Manyawu. Then Newell, DeLoach and McCottry maybe the following week. Interesting mix of players. Manyawu and DeLoach don't shoot threes so the myth of 'must shoot three's' appears to be false. I'm not seeing a battle tested classical point guard in the mix, yet. DeLoach was a bench player at Georgia but had a nice two years at VCU - 10 ppg, 6.9 rpg and 1.4 bpg rim protector.
