I mean our president is gone in a year. I just get the feeling he doesn't want to shun that fan base. But could be wrong. He has to make the decision thats best for him. And regards to mvc being bad. That's a good thing for him in some ways. See wich state at mvc. Gonzaga out west. There's some benefits to being the only good school. Honestly ask yourself this.... if they win the NIT which I think seems pretty likely since they will get a home whistle the rest of the way. That podunk town comes together to try to get everything in line for one more year. Including a significant raise. Do you think he would leave? I personally don't. I'm also very pessimistic when it comes to the bills recently.

I think if the trees can find somebody with money in Terre Haute and manage to put together something close to what we are gonna pay him he may decide to stay. Just a gut feeling. Feels to me it'll be tough to leave after the NIT success. Had they lost already I think it's a done deal but just getting the vibe ISU is gonna go all in to try to keep the band together. Could definitely backfire for Schertz though if he decides to stay and they flop.

What's already done? Coach has not been announced. The more they win the more other teams will want him and his players. You dont think them winning the NIT and a bigger school coming in at the last minute and throwing cash at them all is possible? His players raise their NIL stock with every win. Other teams could key in on the individual players. If you are a SLU basketball fan (which we are learning some on this board just like basketball in general) you want them to lose as soon as possible. The difference between coach getting to discuss playing time with any current SLU player today verses 2 weeks from now after they have been contacted by other schools is not negligible.

This right here. Seeing public opinion of our program is very upsetting. I used to want to defend us but can't really do that anymore. I think we are in a really bad spot at a time where it's important to be in a good spot in the college mbb landscape.

Sorry I wanted to see Tate or Harriman coaching. Want to support the players but If Travis wins a few games this is going to be really awkward. National media goes on and on about how Travis wins 20 games and I assume you heard the injury excuse during the broadcast. I want it over and the new coach announced.
