If the season continues like it has been going I think Crews will retire at the end of the year. He is 62 years old and I doubt he would want to go through another year like last year and this one.

I appreciated your report from last years scrimmage and would like to read your observations from the scrimmage yesterday. Its nice to get an opinion from someone that was there.

If he is that good why is he going to a horrible team in a one bid league. I have watched him play and he is not better than the guards on our roster.

To me it looked like he left way to early. That is why we were flat-footed. It never would have counted in the states.

There were questionable traveling calls throughout the third quarter as well. Also a lot of touch fouls. No flow to the game.

So what you are saying is Pistol is wrong when he says " go see the kids play"? If you do you are a creepy weird old man. I for one appreciate the information 3star provides.

Trust me I wish I hadn't said anything about Milik in my original post. I would be surprised if Wellmer isn't in the rotation. The kid can really shoot the ball.

I wanted to thank Crews and staff for the open practices. Unfortunately we were only able to attend one but we really enjoyed it. We learned a lot and from what we saw we are excited for the season to start. Good luck in the Bahamas!

I know people that have sat behind Duke's bench during games and say he is amazingly profane during games.

A couple of additional observations. It looks like they will trap out of the man to man defense when there are opportunities. With their length this should be fun to watch. Wellmer and Neufeld were each playing with a post in the five on five drills. Not sure if this was because of who was available or they are planning on a big line up. I think they both have the foot speed to guard most fours. I also thought Crews ran a very good practice. You have to point out all mistakes or they continue to happen.

Crews did a lot of coaching this morning. They are putting in a new offense. It involves a lot of picks away from the ball and different options depending on what the defense does. Most of the kids are struggling to pick it up and everyone took a turn getting chewed on. Milik and Miles the most. Crews was really emphasizing the 3 man game. Wellmer is going to be a player when he gets stronger. He has a real nice shot and is fundamentally solid. He moves well for someone his size. Neufeld looks for contact and has good post moves. He is as good as advertised. Bishop has nice shot and handles the ball well. As most freshman do he struggles stopping dribble penetration. Gillmann looks bigger. Had a nice dunk and a real nice jump hook. He is still limited by his foot speed and lack of jumping ability. Ash, Crawford, and Davell all played well. Davell looks to be the starting pg. Miles made a lot of mistakes but his shot looks much better. At one point Crews told him to tell us what his GPA is. He said they all have high GPAs but were getting Fs for basketball today. They might want to be careful with Milik. They are very hard on him. Maybe thats what he needs but he looked kind of down when we left.

The Mayors name wasn't even close. If his son spells like that it might explain his offers. I like kids that are tall and can score. The rest can be worked on.

Anyone have his stats from Team Ramey?

We might want to keep in mind our head coach got sick then died. Plus his last two recruiting classes were not good. It left the basketball program in a tough situation.
