  1. The interesting thing is that if Crews stays the transfer losses will be staggering. If he goes and SLU makes a quick move on guys like Crutchfield or some viable candidates it will stop the bleeding giving the staff a chance to retain the exisiting core of players. I am confident we will be proud of the product on the floor when JC is gone.
  2. Oh, I am clueless too. Thank you so much. Have not heard the one! What else you got Coach? Moytoy, might see him at camp this summer. He is working his butt off this season for sure. Hoping he has a Conklin type summer leading to that breakout senior year. Still not happy with his development but with the trajectory he is on, he could put it together soon enough.
  3. This big jackass will continue to open the door for yahoos like you to see over your bulging stomachs. I do not name names. You can take it or leave it. Does not matter to me one bit. You prefer to stay in the dark but come to the board to get your insight. Oh I get it!
  4. JC ran it through Yarbrough down the stretch. Couple players not happy about that. Crawford didn't have a standout game but if we going to go down from long range. I would rather go down with Crawford or Ash taking those.
  5. + 1000000000 I always want the win for the boys no matter what. Losing sucks! Crews has had the talent but he has no concept on how to develop them to make the most of their talents. I am not buying the recruiting excuse. Hard to coach under developed talent! If he had done just that we would be in better position today.
  6. Interesting that Hines has not played any better then Reynolds or Roby but has moved ahead of both in the rotation. Wonder how much of that has to do with lessening the value of those players on the transfer market. Therefore attempting to force them to return next season. Same can be said for sporadic playing time, etc of other sophomores.
  7. Good list; I might add Dana Ford, Head Coach at Tennessee SState Four solid years as a player at Illinois State, assistant at Chipola JC, Tennessee State (Big role recruiting and developing second year NBAer Robert Covington), Wichita State, and Illinois State. First year 5-26 at Tennessee State with a team with 1senior and only 2 players with D1 experience, this year 18-7 with best big man out for the year, a good showing against Tennessee in Knoxville and a 30 point beat down of OVC conference leader. Might not have the resume as some others listed on here, but very good x and os guy, very good recruiter and player developer, as well as knows how to relate to today's players.
  8. Wiz, I applaud you for your commitment to Billikendom. I am always happy to read your predictions and team analysis. With the emotional rollercoaster ride we are on as fans it is nice to get a clear and unbiased breakdown of where the team really is game by game. Thanks for that!
  9. Guess it was smarter to give them the last shot for the win. Is that the second time the Bonnies have nailed us on that? This clueless one will sit back on his couch once again to watch this great coaching job unfold.
  10. Seriously though, we just did not play good enough down stretch to pull this out. Credit the boys on a good effort but tired of these last second daggers!
  11. This is what terrible coaching looks like in the last 16 seconds of a game. Simply fouling one of the bigs or guards who were all shooting 50% from the line would have given us the chance to score on the last possession. Instead the defense was set to stop them till the buzzer risky a potential 2 or 3 using up all of the clock. What a joke?
  12. +1000000000 You nailed it this time. This is a real insight on why we are where we are. There are some really good talents at SLU but under Crews none of these kids will ever reach their full potential. I wonder what these kids would be like today if RM was still here. One could argue that some would not be here but I think each one of these young men has alot more to offer us than they show on the court today. Development is sorely a problem on this team.
  13. +1 I think just on the recruiting side Crutchfield would be taking the program in the right direction. Man has an eye for real talent it seems.
  14. Capel would be a good one too but I do not see a guy obviously being groomed to takeover for Coach K leaving to coach SLU.
  15. Maybe you prefer one of the Duke assistants instead!

  17. Adding to the rumor mill from a reliable source; SLU is in contact with Chris Crutchfield, lead assistant coach at Oklahoma University. Apart from being part of the #1 coaching staff in the country, he is also their lead recruiter and development guy....ie Buddy Hield, etc . If this is correct it would be a major coup to land a young head coach who has a real pulse on recruiting top 100 kids and developing them.
