1. I've never seen a team whine to the refs more than the Dayton players do. Having said that, I'm going to whine: Half of Dayton's screens are illegal. They shuffle their feet, they lean in to players, they extend their elbows. They review a foul IN BETWEEN Bell's free throws. They ice Collins by slowly cleaning up the floor. I guess Dayton just doesn't think they can beat teams on their own... Excellent game by Goodwin. Smart drives to the basket today. Would've been a blowout without him. I can' wait until Dayton loses in the second round because they don't have the A10 refs to lean on. Whenever I get down I quickly remind myself that this entire team (sans Weaver) is back next year.
2. Yeah, sorry, I'm not the best at articulating my points. I love Goodwin and maybe it's mostly been a recent occurrence (I didn't look beyond the past 5 games), but it just feels like he's been forcing way too many shots around the rim.
3. Just going back five games he's 9/20, 1/7, 4/19, 3/12, 5/16 from the field. Taking away 3 point attempts, he's 9/15, 1/5, 3/16, 3/9, and 4/14 from the field. Yes, I believe on average over those 5 games, he's had about 3 drives per game where he forced a shot. I'm not trying to be critical, just pointing out an observation. I love Goodwin, couldn't ask for a better leader. He's a tough, aggressive player and he likes to attack the rim. All I'm saying is that I see, on average, about three drives a game where attacking the rim isn't the best option at that time.
4. Yes, seriously, 3-5 a game. Okay, 5 is probably high. 3? I stand by that number based on the fact that I've watched almost every minute of SLU basketball this year. I can recall 3 from Wednesday alone. 2 were rejected/hit out of bounds and 1 was a horrendous shot. Is a blocked shot or a horrible shot considered a turnover? Did you not watch the game on Wednesday? This happens every game. He dribbles into areas with more than one defender present and forces shots.
5. On top of all of that, I don't think people realize how much T Ford and his family enjoy living in St. Louis
6. Agreed. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that he rarely beats his defender off the dribble and most of his shots, even at the elbow, are contested. I love J Good and appreciate his aggressiveness but he attempts 3-5 too many drives to the rim each game. With the lack of "blow by" quickness and speed, he has to use his strength to muscle his way to the basket which often results in wild shots or attempts at layups. Finesse and touch is the key under the basket but when you're being guarded the entire way to the rim that becomes difficult to achieve. With the exception of Perkins, it seems this entire team has a really difficult time finishing within 3 feet of the rim. Doesn't help that teams are packing it in against SLU.
7. Horrible. No one plays defense. No one moves on offense. On the bright side I don't have to waste anymore of my Xanax on game days.
8. Sorry if this has been discussed in a different thread but what is going on with Hankton? Injuries? Wonder what the odds are of him transferring this summer... Would be nice to have another scholarship in the back pocket.

10. I hope this guy signs and he's got a smoking hot sister and she comes to every home game with her smoking hot Swedish girlfriends with smoking hot bods.
11. Anyone have any info on this? I'm guessing this isn't a 2020 recruit and will move to applicable thread if not:

Billikens have a recruit on campus today. He’s at practice. 12. I would think our NET improves with a close loss in Dayton, no? Still need some Q1 wins though. What would our final Q1 record be if we split VCU/Rhode Island (assuming K State and VCU end up a Q1)? 3-5? W: Richmond, K State, VCU/Rhode Island L: Dayton X2, VCU/Rhode Island, Auburn, Seton Hall. I can't imagine that record stacks up well with other bubble teams but I don't know jack squat. EDIT: After looking at the current Q1 records of VCU (1-4) and Rhode Island (1-3), both teams currently in the tourney according to Lunardi, I guess 3-5 wouldn't be horrible. I think it may be better if we just win the last 9 games and remove all doubt...
13. We're going to win the A10 Tourney so it won't matter.
14. Please tell me you also have kids that watch Annoying Orange videos on YouTube all freaking day. I just want to know I'm not the only one suffering out there....
15. Quite frankly, I'm shocked that some "experts" have us in the tourney as of today. If we go 8-2 the rest of the way we end the regular season with a 24-7 record and 13-5 A10 record. I just don't see how we drop by winning out but for 2 games on the road versus teams with higher NETs. Although VCU is playing some good ball right now. That is going to be a tough home game. Nothing is going to come easy obviously. One game at a time. Every game going forward is going to have a "win or you're out" feel to it. I'm rock hard.
16. Didn't see that but they kept showing the same group of jabronies every time they scanned the raucous, sell out crowd. One of the bro dog's was wearing a blue Champions sweatshirt with a wicked gold chain dangling on the outside. I believe he's the one over her left shoulder and 2 down in that screenshot above.
17. Maybe it's for acoustics. I listened to the first 10 minutes of the game in the car and it sounded like there were 12 people there. Without the strategic positioning of their ductwork it may have only sounded like 4 people on the radio.
18. Holy crap I had completely forgotten about JC Hankton
19. My brother was saying he should transfer to St. John's and play for Mike Anderson (and Van Macon). Such an odd hire for St. John's.
20. I heard he pulled a Carte'are and punched teammate but still just a rumor at this point
21. Ugly game. A win is a win. I actually enjoyed the jawing between #10 on BC and, well, almost every single Billiken player on the court. #10 was doing a lot of talking during the tv timeouts. Think he had a smile on his face the entire game.
22. I heard Ken comes up with his yearly rankings over a slice of pizza at Comet Ping Pong in DC
23. And yet Kenpom has K State at 86 and Saint Louis at 91. I thought we were supposed to take Kenpom seriously. Or is that not accurate? I guess NET is all that matters from here on out? Please advise...
