  1. I believe with Sincere Parker at full strength playing 30+ minutes, we win last night's game. We almost beat Dayton the #1 A10 team and top 21 team AWAY and we beat St. Joseph's (Arguably the #2 team in the A10) after being down 20 points. This is a different team with Ezewiro, and a healthy Parker (plus a healthy meadows/thames) than the team we all saw when we were wanting Ford fired. I'm willing to give the Coach a few more games before I judge considering the results of the last 2 games.
  2. Done! Thanks for all you do to make this great site possible!
  3. Was 2012-2014 our peak(Not counting 1948)? Will we ever be that good again? It will likely be tough to surpass that era as we are unlikely to ever find another basketball genius as brilliant as Majerus. The changing college basketball landscape will also make it harder to succeed with the widening gap between the power 6 and everyone else along with NIL The decline of the A-10 will also make it hard to find quality wins. I had some hope the first few seasons of Fords tenure as we climbed through the Kenpom ranks and had some impressive recruiting, but then we plateaued for several years and now are in free fall. I hope I'm wrong, but we may never again be as good as we were 2012-2014.
  4. My immediate thought... Situation 3... Glad there isn't another scandal on top of all the other mess...
  5. Careful what you say about Rammer: "We're not gonna have it here"
  6. I know Kalish has recent success, so he gets a break, but Kalish's underperformance this year rivals Ford's last year.
  7. As a SLU and Vanderbilt fan, I feel like I have to defend Vanderbilt and say Vanderbilt is not horrible and can win (although they didn't with Bryce Drew). NCAA appearances: 1965, 1974, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1997, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017 with sweet 16s in 03-04 and 06-07. I know our aspirations are higher, but Vanderbilt also has NIT success: Champions in '89-90, 2nd place in '93-94, Quarterfinals in '22-23, '21-22, '14-15, '04-05, '97-98
  8. I am not a betting man, but I think I would bet against us in this one.
  9. If you have $76 million, stop complaining and buy him out.
  10. Does anyone know the details of the shake shack promo? Is there a specific shake shack location I have to go to? Is it just a plain burger? Do I just show them the ticket on my phone? I have 48 hours to redeem, right?
  11. Let's focus on this game. We've lost larger leads before...
  12. Our lack of turnovers is actually what impresses me the most so far.
  13. This is a continuation of the slow death of non-power 6 basketball. Cinderellas are what make college basketball so exciting in my opinion. Bad power 6 teams are not cinderellas in my view. They are just bad power 6 teams. This is really killing the fun of my favorite sport. I will be boycotting the NIT for the foreseeable future. I predict that soon there will be no automatic bids to the true NCAA tournament for mid-majors and lower.
  14. What we really need is Harrison and Bruce! Recruit them! Seriously though. Resources are limited. We are focusing on basketball and soccer. The Champions Center was meant to help all sports. If we want better facilities, finding donors willing to spend lots of money on facilities for non-revenue sports is the key.
  15. Semi-troll question: Which coaching job was worse? Stone's last season with SLU or Ford last year?
  16. I cant seem to find the score of the exhibition game anywhere. Did it happen or was it rained out?
