Gibson would feast in this offense, its truly perfect for him. Of our current players Gibby(I know), Larry and Bruce all to some degree would play into Schertz system, some better than others.

Not our money, but do we want to pay Gibby as much as we did last year? He would do amazing in Schertz offense but he was also pretty expensive. If so, Avila - Kent - Gibby - Combo Guard - Swope. Thats a PRPG of 15.4 and still have a player to add to that. This year the combined starting PRPG was 14. So unless the player to be added sucks, its still slightly better than last year.

ISU will play a team worse than the last 2 they've played to get to the finals. If they win that, they'll finish ranked higher than a handful of 6 seeds in the tourney on Kenpom.

Me thinks LHJ stays especially if its Schertz. Bruce while lacking skill, fits in perfectly with Schertz system. I also think Gibby comes back under Schertz, can you imagine Gibby with the passing of Avila (!). I'd also keep Thames and Crucic.

I would not be suprised if he did leave. Likely strong season next year, but then loses damn near everyone... Thats a prime time for coaches to go if they do. With that said, the buyout we put into the contract is what will determaine if we sink or swim for the most part. Thats the key in this whole thing. If we can make 6m in one year, we can get a guy who is as good if not better to come in with that.
