I have some info, too. It's a bit different from yours, but someone definitely is lying. And there were events over the summer that probably came into play into WR's decision not to return to SLU, if he even could. If what we are hearing about how the case was handled as far as an attorney being present for the girl and other details, then it sounds like this was handled very poorly, and I'm disappointed with SLU for that. And it doesn't seem fair that the girl was not punished in some way for violating the student code of conduct (underage drinking). Rules are rules & they should be enforced across the board. Maybe part of the reason the board came down hard on these guys is that a lot of students (and probably staff) are tired of the BB players being treated like kings. Why are they seen zipping around campus on scooters when no other athletes have them? Why are they never carded when they go to the area bars? (Everyone knows that the bars love for the BB players to come into their establishments because it brings the "groupies" in.) Yes, they're great athletes & they bring in a lot of revenue to the school, but they are still students & they need to live by the rules, too.
