Lol what would happen in that case? They've allegedly already told Ford he's gone 😂

Same thing that happened to Tom Penders at Houston. AD was determined to fire him with a 15-15 regular season record. Houston wins the conference tourney and they fired him anyway.

  2. FWIW, Rammer was on with Frank yesterday and is not optimistic about today’s game. Said Rhody is more physical at every position and it took Parker’s 16 pts. in 15 mins. and otherwise good shooting by the rest of the team to hold off the Rams. Said there’s almost no chance Parker is playing today.

My guess is the season ends today and with Duq. having won 6 of their last 7, there’s a near zero chance we can take them. The handwriting for the end of the Ford era is close at hand. I actually feel kind of bad for Travis as he may not be the best coach around, but he’s been passionate about trying to get it turned around and has worked extremely hard to get it done.

Too bad it didn’t work out.

The most SLU thing ever would be a Cinderella run to the conference tourney finals - in which we lose in triple overtime in heart-breaking fashion. We don't get the Tourney bid, but "the little engine that could" narrative wins over just enough boosters to save his job for one more year. 😄

    It’s not over yet.

    Drake holds on.

Can Stetson get their first ever NCAA bid?

They do. I watched Stetson play Chicago State on the same floor 6-7 weeks ago and there were about 100 people in the stands and Chi. State beat them for the second time this season. What a contrast between then and now with a full house, a good-looking team, and a court storming.

Ok so what did he say

In response to Ackerman’s question about is there something to be proud of this season, he said of course disappointed with the season but proud of the guys for showing up with good attitudes throughout the season. Connected the good attitudes with winning 3 of the last 5, including 2 on the road, and pleased with the improvement of Hughes and I think he said Thames.

Short discussion about NIL and said Troy and Scott are working very hard behind the scenes with the BVF. I got the sense that they all realize that the program made a mistake by not recognizing NIL as pay for play and are trying to fix it. I say “fix it” as something the athletic department needs to tend to, not so much as part of the recently mentioned “plan.”
