I don’t remember the article but I would bet the refs are influenced by the crowd. its probably a combo of a lot of stuff. From the crowd noise and refs to being able to sleep in your own bed and have your favorite pre game lunch.

I think part of the reason the press looked so good last night is because North Carolina Central sucks. if you just randomly throw a press out against a good team there is a good chance you get torched. It’s one thing to press directional state U, it’s another to press a good team. It they practice a press and work on it I think it can work at times. If they try that improvised press against FSU they are in trouble.

I don’t think he’s a bad coach and he can definitely recruit but he’s lacking at team design. This team is loaded with big strong athletes. They have size, speed, and toughness, and that’s great. They don’t have shooters or ball handlers. Those are two huge parts to a successful college team.
