So if Jimerson breaks the all time scoring record, he’s for sure gotta have his jersey retired, right?
I w a talking about this earlier today.
I love Jimerson as a Bill. One of my all time favorites, but I don’t consider him an all time great.
Good….definitely, but not a top 5 or even 10 player.Although a tourney run will change my opinion.

Two VERY different environments there
At 18 I was deciding between a career in the NBA or starting a company that produced electric vehicles. Figured those two schools were my best chance.
Turns out neither options was close to realistic.brianstl and BrettJollyComedyHour like this -

Got it. I didn't know that players reached out to the schools. I just assumed it was the other way around. I still haven't figured out all of the ins and outs of this transfer portal and it really isn't even new anymore.
I graduated high school in 98 and reached out to two schools about playing ball for them, Kentucky and Harvard.
They both told me to piss off.So it doesn’t always work.

Damn if Avila doesn't come here I am gonna look like a clown telling everyone around me that he was going to be playing for SLU next year.

He's visiting Texas with Julian Larry according to a Texas recruiting guy.
Not sure the Bills NIL can compete with Texas oil money NIL.

I know everything said in that interview is the exact same thing every coach says to the media when they get a new job, probably said the exact same thing when he took the ISU gig, but it sure has me excited!

I have already seen two “welcome to St. Louis University Josh Schertz” billboards. One at 44 and Lindbergh and one on 141 at 44.

The Calipari hiring is interesting.
I am curious how the Arkansas fan base is reacting to this?
Personally I would not be happy. Not because Calipari is a slime ball, which he is, but I think he is washed up.
Given the choice between Schertz and Calipari right now I’m taking Schertz.

Plot twist…Michael Schertz is actually a Shane Ford burner account.

Sycamore board has gotten ugly today but favorite post thus far is from a guy that, first, called us delusional and then said" I hope SLU finishes 28-5 next year with a 26 NET and misses the tournament". He then goes on to make the claim that ISU and SLU are equal MM's.
Someone might want to let this guy know he just described Dayton, who earned an at-large bid as a 7 seed. In fact, Dayton had MORE losses and LESS wins than ISU. If SLU finishes the A10 next year with a 28-5 record and 26 NET, they're in the tournament regardless of bid stealers. That's the difference between the MVC and the A10.
I can’t knock the guy for his irrational post.
Future me will be saying the same type of crap if Schertz leaves SLU for a blue blood.

If you want to understand why an ISU fan is painting us as rich snobs, you should go to Terre Haute and walk around the town. Then walk around the campus of the #10 rated college in Indiana.
It's all a matter of perspective.
ISU is going after the Ricky Roe’s of the worlds offering their parents nice tractors.
Saint Louis University is going after the Butch McRae’s of the world offering their parents bags of cash and comfy jobs.

Who let Schertz sleep in this morning? We need him up and announcing his decision. Rise and grind
After a tough loss in a championship game it’s only natural to hit the bottle a little harder than normal.
Let the man sleep it off then it’s time to hit the recruiting trail.

I need to remember to come back to this thread when Schertz is moving on in a few years when I'm sure that everyone will be very composed and rational
I’ll admit it right now…I will most definitely be bad mouthing whatever school he leaves the Billikens for.

Let’s have a separate thread about local media, so I can pass it by. I’m more concerned about what happens if Schertz says thanks but no thanks. Then who?

Why did you marry her and not someone else. Most people, rationally or irrationally, chose someone sometimes for reasons they do not understand. And there is the answer to your question at least a portion of every major life choice is not fully rational.
Take the economy for example, long ago in the XVIII century it was presumed that people always decided upon what was best for them. This is incorrect, a lot of decisions are made without a full understanding of something or the other that may or may not be what is best for the person making the decision. Everyone that has divorced understand this concept.
What makes you think that Schertz decision will be totally rational.
I choose my wife because she has a nice rack. It’s worked out so far.
I do know one thing, if I turned down a job paying 2.5 million for a job paying 800,000 I’d have to find a new wife.
