  1. I went for the free Qdoba at around 10, and they were all out of chips for the nachos by then so i ate chicken meat with salsa lol. Then at the player's meet and greet right after, there were I'd say 30-40 people. Probably more than I expected actually. I dont know about anything other than that.
  2. i really don't know the guys name. I tried to put the puzzle together to figure it out, but hit a dead end. He is one of Salecich's "best mates"
  3. Honestly I don't know much. I'll leave it up to you to determine what country he is from.
  4. i do know that we have another pf coming to visit in December. Hopefully he will sign after seeing SLU!
  5. Does anyone know the rules about talking to a recruit? One that has committed, versus one who hasnt, signed a LOI or not? And then what about sharing any information?
  6. personally i really enjoyed the entertainment at one game last year. The one where they had the people in the rings, and the bouncy pogo stick legs, and gave out free snickers bars!
  7. I assumed that it was in the Rec center, but could be wrong. Im not sure where else they would have basketball and dodgeball tournaments.
  8. I just got this email from Blue Crew. First time I have ever known of anything like this going on at SLU. I wonder how many people will go... Hey Blue Crew! This week kicks-off the first week of Billiken Basketball!!! Starting off with Tent City on Thursday November 13 at 9:00pm. Come join us all night Thursday to count-down to the first official game in Chaifetz Arena! During the night there will be a Meet & Greet with Coach Rick Majerus and your Men's Basketball Team, Dodgeball Tournament, Basketball Shoot-Around, and Rock Band and other entertainment throughout the night! Then beginning at 8am, we'll be passing out wristbands to see who gets to be the first person in Chaifetz Arena for the first official basketball game! Then Friday November 14th, there will be free pizza by the clocktower beginning at 5:30pm. Then at 6pm we'll all march over to Chaifetz Arena to watch our Men's Basketball Team take on the UMSL Tritons. Finally Sunday November 16th, join us to cheer on your Women's Basketball Team take on the Western Michigan Broncos! Tip-off is at 2:00pm and the doors open at 1:00pm! Hope everyone is pumped about the season! See everyone on Thursday night! Your Blue Crew E-board.
  9. it might be pretty beneficial to post more on those boards on stltoday. it would equal more traffic on the page, maybe leading to more coverage of the bills that we all want to see. anyone agree or disagree?
  10. We were definitely off to a slow start for the first five minutes of play. It was still 0-0 for way too long, and when HS got ahead I thought, "it is going to be a looong year." A few minutes after that though, it just seemed like the freshmen forgot that they were freshmen, minus several little bloopers. I also forgot as the game went on. Really must have been the beginning jitters, because the whole aura around the team changed.
  11. The game was very fun. I'm glad the season is finally here! The arena had probably 4000 people in it, with I'm guessing 700 or so students. Blue Crew was not very in sync, but pretty loud I would say. We really pissed off a few HS kids... The rest of the crowd was pretty non existant. Kevin Lisch going down was killer. He was hit in the air and went down hard. He was knocked to the edge of the floor, so I really hope that it wasn't his head. Did anyone see if he came out for the second half to sit on the bench? KM, WR, RC, and Cassity all looked good, especially the first three. WR played way better than I expected him to, and I think will get a lot of playing time. And there was no doubt that TLIII was the lone senior out on the floor, just a great leadership presence and awareness of everything around him. I was surprised to see to unfamiliar names: Andre Craig and Johnathan Parker. Definitely very small walk ons, but its good to know that there are more people for practice. Glad to see Parker score at the end Can't wait for UMSL. Lets pack the house!
  12. They are weighing food to make a statement I believe. All leftovers get donated to Campus Kitchen and other homeless shelters, so they want the least amount of food to end up in the trash as possible
  13. We have to remember that slu doesn't actually manage the arena, and that Chartwells is the company that does all of the food there. They are the same company that manages all of the food on campus as well, and let me tell you, they are cheap little POSs. They overcharge for every simple little thing, so I am not surprised at all by the amount that they charge even at events like this, although it does make me a little sick.
  14. It may be because Australia has their school system set up differently than we do, but it looks like most of these guys are my age or a year younger, and I'm going to be graduating from SLU next year
  15. All of the other events say that metrotix is the only place that you can buy the tickets, but you can still buy them at the arena "with no service charges." I would expect the basketball tickets to work in the same way.
  16. There have been so many ripped jerseys in every game that I have been to this year. My sister says it is to keep the female fan base coming back
  17. Tie 0-0 again tonight. Out of the three top ten ranked teams that they have played against this year, this was the most dominant I have seen the Bills be. I would definitely say that they won the possession battle throughout the game (I did get there with about 10 minutes to go in the first half). The only problem was that as soon as we got the ball to the 18 every single time, we would turn it over to the bluejays. Overall, I'm very frustrated that we didnt win this game, because I feel like they should have earned this one.
  18. 0-0 was the final score. It was a pretty balanced game I would say. Both teams missed some big chances to score, and our goalie came up big for us several times. We missed a wide open goal with only about a minute left in the second overtime that just KILLED everyone there who saw it
  19. mostly i hear it called the chaif on campus. the psych ward is sweet though either for the arena or the student section
  20. Richard Anderson is listed on the ESPN recruit tracker as being one of our (two) targets for next season. Does anyone know our status on this recruit?
  21. favorite post "I would be ecstatic. This would be an absolutely massive get. I feel really good about going against SLU." Now if we could only play OU as well...
