  1. to 2 stars. He was 3 stars until today. Anybody know why?
  2. thanks. his posts (at least the ones I read) seemed to be reasonable, but then he shoots out an apparent flame from nowhere. I have no ill will towards mizzou. both of my kids are MU alums. they are my second favorite team in the State.
  3. please explain the significance of the dollar sign in place of the S in SLU. what is that suppose to mean?
  4. I think Bennington left the year before I came to St. Louis. Buddy Brehmer was in his 1st year as head coach in 65. They hired him away from Rockhurst. I initially liked Brehmer but the program slid during his watch. You are right about Kiel Auditorium in those days. It really rocked. The MVC was big time then.
  5. If my memory serves me right, Parks was about 6'9" 250 and Moore about 6'8" 230. Parks was more of a pure center while Moore could also play the power forward. They were 2 tough dudes. The MVC was a big time conference back then; Cincinnati had just won back to back national titles in 61 and 62
  6. I have been a fan since 1965. Anybody remember Rich Parks and Eugene Moore? I know I'm giving the color of my whiskers away, but so be it.
  7. Thanks. I also read somewhere that U of Detroit might be in the picture but that may have been more conjecture than fact.
  8. I am new on this board and not familiar with Luke Meyer's academic status. I took your post seriously. If I had not read the replies to your post, I would have thought Meyer had a problem. With the hiring of Majerus, there may be others like me reading this board. I am not trying to pile on, just reaffirming the caution that some of the others had stated.
  9. Beautiful. What a different looking law school and campus compared to the pre-Biondi era.
  10. if you classify NW and OSU as a rivalry in football, then all of PSU v Big Ten is a rivalry in football. Where PSU falters is in the area of men's basketball.
  11. I liked your post except for the following. Your comment about the Big 10 and that every game is a rivalry except for maybe Penn State is an incorrect generalization. Have you ever been to a Penn State v Ohio State game in any sport? Conversely, how is Northwestern v Ohio State a rivalry in any sport? Perhaps you'd like to clarify.
