  1. Looks like the AP brainfarted: Gainesville is actually north of Orlando, which is in the middle of Florida, putting G-ville geographically in northern Florida. Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Hialeah, The Keys, etc. would all be considered south Florida. Now, yes, Carbondale would be considered southern Illinois. Cairo, IL is closer to Birmingham, AL than Chicago. Food for thought.
  2. Bill Brasky goes about 8'9/490...but unfortunately the Celtics went with Len Bias...
  3. No, not this Nelly, VTime: http://www.nndb.com/people/913/000044781/nelly-crop.jpg But this Nellie: http://www.sportskacentrala.com/nba/nba200.../nelson-don.jpg If he steps down from GoState, expect him on campus yelling at Bryce Husak to get down the court faster, to which Bryce would probably say, "Why is Boris Yeltsin here and why is he yelling at me?" To which Kevin Lisch would say, "Chill out, Husak. Yeltsin is dead." Magi and Nellie go way back and he dropped his name during the PC, so I'm sure he'll be in "The Lou," as your Nelly would say, VTime.
  4. HEY NASHVILLE!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GUY SAID SOMETHING BAD ABOUT BRYCE! OH NO! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO!!! YOU LOVE HIM SOOOO MUCH AND THINK HE'S SOOOO SPECIAL!!! YOU BETTER GET MAD AND WRITE SOMETHING NEGATIVE!!! HURRY!

  6. But even sub-average college basketball players can be consistent. Regardless of playing time, Bryce hasn't shown any consistency through his half-decade here. It boils down to practice and showing up everyday. ---------------- A reporter once asked Bryce Husak if he has enjoyed his tenure at Saint Louis and Bryce said, "Um, I've only been here four years."
  7. Really? I thought I was letting him down easy. You haven't seen dogging, Nashvegas. Not even close.
  8. Realize that Sean Bradley was a 7'6 guy who got dunked on routinely. Being tall doesn't mean anything if you can't play (see Bryce Husak).
  9. It's just Billikens (no apostrophe), and yes, that would be our mother. She is the Dir. of Alumni Publications at BU.
  10. Hey, I appreciate that Rich, but unfortunately for you, she also has my sense of humor, which apparently is too real for you. I have a good feeling about another Metz making her way down to SLU in the near future.
  11. My younger sister made the All-Sectional team as a Soph. for Peoria Notre Dame. I know she wants to follow her brother to Saint Louis University, so I thought I would put the link here. Her goal is to suit up for Champ, so maybe he'll get around to see her in the next couple of years. http://www.pjstar.com/php/index.php?/boxsc...e_all_sectional Class AA Girls Soccer All-State/All-Sectional High school girls IHSSCA all-sectional Tracy Metzinger (Notre Dame, soph. 12. That is exactly the type of player WE NEED AT SLU, and that Soderberg was too afraid to come after. Get 'er done, Ricky Baby.
  13. I recorded all of their license plates at Humphrey's and Jan will be booting them if they park in our lot again. Some slick-##### Navi-trucks in there...I bet they're all paid for too.
  14. I live on Waterman and Clara and need a roomie with a preference for no pets and who likes watching game film at 3 a.m. Anyone?
  15. I talked to Joe Wiley at the Press Conference a couple of weeks back and he said he was still "in awe" at the hiring of Majerus. You could just see the look in eyes. His smile was ear to ear. His enthusiasm for SLU basketball is contagious.
  16. Neil's got that raspy/Canadian voice, so it's tough to tell what he's saying, bonwich. I guess that's not Jay Nixon he's talking about, either...
  17. SLU to play Kent State this year @ Kent State. 4 Dead in Ohio... http://www.recordpub.com/news/article/1980662
  18. How about a Missouri Lottery sponsored t-shirt: Rick's Pick Six. Go Bills.
  19. BS was the epitome of the old adage "nice guys finish last."
