If you are not majoring in a major that SLU offers in JOCU the NCAA will not allow you to transfer in no matter how good of a student you are. This is the case with many JOCU players and has burned SLU often.

He thinks the building is answer to all the problems it is not. I am afraid this building may become a noose around all the teams that use it. I hate to be the coach or Cheryl that has to explain to him the need for an expanded budget for recruiting or hiring and retaining quality AC. His response is going to be that he got them the new building now make it work. He will be telling everybody that will listen to him about all the money that is going to pay off the debt on the new building and thus no funds are avalible for what needs to be done to capitalize off the new building.

On the high school level are Leon Powell and Kevon Lacey. I think right now Kramer and Suggs are better high school level players. I think as college prospects both Powell and Suggs are better.

I think most of us saw this this morning. Roundtree is not even the best player in his class, much less the best overall HS player this year. He may turn out to be the best player in his class but he isn't there yet.

Unless the underlying problems are fixed it is just rearranging the chairs are the deck of the Titanic. It may look better for awhile but the ship is still sinking. It this stuff doesn't get fixed we will still have the same issues with the hope team. The same issues with the soccer team. Levick, Champion, Shimmy, and all the good athletic department people will all get the hell out of dodge. We will be in the exact same situation we are now. I will give Biondi this, he normally hires good people. He rarely gives them the tools to keep suceeding at SLU. The athletic department has often turned into a back stabbing and look out for yourself brutal war zone.

It hasn't happened with any of the previous coaches. People really need to start demanding more from this man when it comes to funding and properly operating all of SLU athletics. He tries to skimp and penny pinch at every corner. He has made promises to every coach he has hired that he has not been able to keep. He has flat out lied to several different coaches and members of the athletic department.

I am using it as an example at how bush league SLU athletics is. It does not make Brad's recent recruiting effort excusable. Who is the guy that is going to wake Biondi up? It wasn't Spoon and his tournament years. In fact Biondi's and Woolard's ##### made him give up on recruiting and eventual drove him into retirement. Want to know what Spoon thinks about SLU? He never brings the place up unless prompted in a interview. Romar's run in Memphis didn't wake up Biondi. I am sure another short run of success will do the trick this time. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!

Grawer, Spoon, Romar, Brad, Yates, Yow, Woolard, and Levick have all have come and most have gone. Biondi is the only constant. Hmmmmmm, I wonder where the big problem might be in getting this program where it can and should be?

It was at a private meeting with big time donors prior to that it was brought to her attention that he was intrested. That is the is the story I have heard.

Are you sure? I was just a kid back then, but I have heard from multiple people that was not the case.

If MU and GU can keep their coaches for the next decade it make there chances of sustaining their success much higher. You are hearing Crean's named mentioned with every big time opening now. I would tend to play down his name with the UK opening, but if Donovan takes the UK job I believe your next U of F coach is Tom Crean. I also believe that JT3 will not have the the same tenure at GU as his father. One more dissappionting year at Maryland and I think you are looking at Thompson as the next coach of the Terps. There are schools were it is easier to get it done on a yearly basis than at the Catholic schools. If you don't think the coaches at those schools feel the same way you are kidding yourself.

AD Debbie Yow (a good AD at MD now) had no idea Spoon was interested in the job till after she fired Grawer and boosters brought it to her attention.

I have them doing the samething in mine against the Gators. JT3 is just an awesome coach. IMO far superior to his father. I think the programs we are talking about can have some big success. I just think it is easier to do yearly at a school like Arkansas. If you offered all those HC jobs to me and told me to pick the one that I thought I could have the sustained long term success with the least amount of struggles I am picking Arkansas and not thinking long about it.

Over the top. He is a really good pg. He would definitely help us out, but lets not forget that Iowa is the only top program recruiting him. I want the kid badly, but he isn't the second coming of Oscar Robertson or even the second coming of H Waldman. He is a player that Brad needs to land badly. If he doesn't get him soon he needs to move on to plan B quickly.

Have I not laid fault at Brad's feet? Just because there is plenty of blame to go around with us not being the top 50 program that Biondi has stated as his goal does not mean Brad doesn't get his share of the blame for the last twelve months. It also doesn't mean that Brad gets all the blame or that he should go now. The program has problems that begin way beyond the coach. If he was canned now and the under lying problems were not addressed, it is my belief that you would end up with a lesser coach than Brad as his replacement. Jobs that pay near, as much, or more than SLU end up becoming avalible every year for a coach. Ask yourself if Lowery leaves SIU doesn't that job look a hell of a lot better than SLU. The top up and coming HC or AC will either find a better job this year or wait for the right situation for next year for himself. That leaves SLU to go after what is left and I don't think what is left is any better than what we got right now.

When was the last time before this year Geogetown went to a Elite Eight. When was the last time any of these teams played in a championship game. It is not just the money a big state BCS team recieves but it is the total athletic department structure that the Catholic schools can compete with. This is not the seventies or the early eighties when GU, MU, St. Johns, and Villanova were going to final fours, sweet sixteens, and winning or playing for national championships all the time. The changes to the competive landscape and distribution of the money has been drastic due to conference realignment. These teams will have success and will have some great years, but they will not have the year in year out success of Arkansas. Arkansas will win another national championship before any of those schools win one.

Basically the same response to you as I gave Drew. Except you constant whining might be the most grating thin on this whole damn site. I gave him a D+ grade for the past 12 months. Just because there are other problems at the school besides Brad doesn't mean I give him a pass on his faults. It also doesn't mean that pointing them out means you are a Brad apologist.

I am not blaming the kid. I blame Romar for letting this preciption start and blame Brad for allowing it to only get worse. Recruits feel no urgency to commit to SLU. Just because I don't think Brad is the only problem or even the biggest problem doesn't mean I think he has been a good recruiter lately. I don't call you a SLU hater or say you want the worst for the program because you don't like Brad. In fact I have stuck up for you on here. I would appreciate the same and not be refered to as a Brad apologist every time I don't agree with you.

That SLU can always be there fall back. I think this is really starting to hurt the program and this must change. Recruits always think SLU will always be there and thus feel no urgency to commit to SLU. I think this started under Romar and has only gotten worse under Brad. This has got to stop.
