  1. On the A-10 website it says that the 9pm start (8 ct) is approximate. The game will start 23 minutes after the X/URI game. So, may want to tune in just before 9 in case. Also, if the X game is a quickie, channel 11 will probably be picking up the game in progress at 8. Wanted to give you a heads up. It is extremely unlikely it will start before 8, but in case you tune in and see a 7-4 ballgame, you'll understand why. GO BILLS 20 down, 2 more to go.
  2. THAT IS REDEMPTION!!! They stole from us late....we returned the favor. Tommie hits one freebie. UMASS misses. SLU into the SEMIS!!! GOOD FINISH
  3. Gotta hit ALL free throws now. NO EXCUSES 73-71 :25 to go
  4. ###### big 3 by UMASS 72-68 1:11 left
  5. 72-65 SLU 1:22 to go COME ON CLOSE IT OUT
  6. 71-65 Slu with under 2 to go in OT
  7. Freeman fouled out...that'll be good. Good playh by Bryce, but we need to hit the freebies.
  8. I think we know by now that A-10 officiating is not the creme de le creme. Too bad though on some of these calls. We're controlling the second session....let's keep going on that momentum.
  9. IAN with 3 gd traveling calls already. Come on buddy
  10. I guess the real key was the halftime speach by Brad!!! Chance to take the lead. Good start Bills
  11. What should be our main focus in the 2nd half? Keeping in TLs hands, trying to get KL hot, or hoping to dominate the glass? We cannot continue to get eaten in the paint.
  12. Hoping and wondering when and if Ian is going to take over the paint in the second half. If he can take control, we have a great chance - if he continues the way things went in the first half, it's going to be a long 20 min. Also, if Lisch can get going, that'd be a huge bonus. Tommie - keep it up, and we got a chance. Up the Bills
  13. Richmond won 61-59 in the last minute. Geriot scored 27! That's one piece of good news. Now let's take care of business ourselves.
  14. Anybody know if there is any way to watch tonights game on TV? I couldn't find anything - and I doubt there is a local Richmond, VA station covering.
  15. Someone posted we can still make it if we go 13-3 in conference play. I say not even possible. I would love that to be the case, but when they look at our resume it would show: W-L: 23-6 (not bad but....) Key wins: Missouri St (Maybe key) - then maybe Xavier/Dayton - not too impressive (no rankings) Key Losses: SAINT FREAKIN' BONEVENTURE Not to mention our other losses weren't good losses. We got SMEARED by A&M, and 'hung in' with UNC for one half and still lost by 21. I thought 23 or 24 would be enough, but now I really don't think so. You cannot lose to Boneventure and have a chance. PROVE ME WRONG BILLS!
  16. Thank you for the correction. You are right, there was an oversight with the Houston game. My point regardless stands the same. We still need to win 23ish...so 12-4 or 13-3 in conference. That is a LOFTY goal...but that's what makes sports so entertaining. Read my tagline from Rudy.
  17. After studying Ole Miss; I see a beatable team....not a guaranteed win, but a game we SHOULD win. So if we do, we end the non-conference schedule at 10-3! That leaves 17 conference games. 10-7 = 20 wins, with NO chance of a bid. What is the magic number? We might have to win AT LEAST 23, going 13-4 in A10 play. So, say we do. We are 13-4 with losses (hopefully only) to Umass, Dayton, GW, and Xavier (no REAL bad losses), that should do it. Agree?...Disagree? Call me nuts. Just getting feedback. But 20 wins will DO NOTHING.
  18. This is why SLU IS a better team in my opinion. If you would have told me pre-season that we would be 9-3 with the three losses coming to UNC, Texas A&M, and SIU (Not happy about that loss but regardless); we all would have been happy with that start. The recent SLU teams would be 6-6 or somewhere in that vicinity. The games we were supposed to win (and even 1 we weren't), we took care of business. No losses to BAD teams. At the end of the year, 3 bad losses wipe out 3 good wins. Avoid the bad losses like we have, win the games we're supposed to, and we will have 20 or 22 wins. And again, pre-season we ALL would have taken a 22 win season like the one we CAN have this year.
  19. I think he could take over the DP role. I know there are a lot of DP fans out there, but if nothing else, the size (Perry 6'2") would help. Dwayne has trouble getting off good shots (see the UNC game). Plus, I tend to think that this backup at UW, might be better than a lot of mid-major starters. Aside, maybe he can take the role kind of like Luke. With Luke, we're basically running a 3-guard offense. Luke is not a proto-typical forward, so whose to say that Perry may not excel in that role....I do know that the SLU offense could definitely use him. If he wants to come here, I'm sure we have a place for him. (It's fate - Marquee Perry followed by Mickey Perry.)
  20. Chicagohoops.com message board posted that Philip "Mickey" Perry (the recruit talked about on the board about a week and a half ago) states that SLU is the frontrunner. I assume these guys know what they are talking about. They are close to the hometown of Perry, and I'm sure have solid contacts with family/coaches. Link below: http://forums.chicagohoops.com/viewtopic.p...655468caf17e159 Here's hoping
  21. Thank you 'brianstl' for the credit. As was posted earlier under the topic 'A Loyola Preview' I picked SLU winning 68-63. We won 67-64.....pretty damn close if you ask me. I guess this is what happens when you bet and research on college basketball 6 days a week. Maybe I need a life. Go SLU, as was said in an earlier post, it doesn't give us a great win, but it keeps us from having a bad loss. GO BILLS!!! NOW LET'S FOCUS ON CARBONDALE FOR SATURDAY!!!!!!
  22. Loyola really hasn't beat anybody that great. I know they played one of the best teams (Ohio St) to a close game, but other than that it is 11/10 at Princeton W 68-57 11/11 at #4 Ohio St L 87-75 11/12 at IUPUI W 77-73 11/17 JohnCarr W 96-74 11/20 San Diego W 69-55 11/25 at Fairfield W 83-72 They only have one big margin of victory - see John Carr. My prediction - SLU 68 - Loyola 63
