So, I hate the alcohol ban at CYC events more than anyone else. It has really hurt the sports at my parish. I've heard that some parishes are getting around it. Our pastor, apparently, is not willing to turn a blind eye on this issue.

I'll be honest, I'm not terribly familiar with the interworkings of it. A friend of mine was in charge of the tournament, and asked if I would help out. I'm not even affiliated with that parish anymore, since I moved. I had heard about the ban, and asked how they could sell. He just told me the pastor gave him the 'do it until they tell you to stop'. Kind of a 'easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission'.
I don't really have a dog in the fight; but if it helps the parishes make money, I'm all for it. Adults have to be responsible for themselves. They have to know when enough is enough I think.
