  1. Ask him if we have any chance to sign a good prospect during the Fall period. Or any prospect!
  2. Any chance for a November signing? If not, why would the Spring period be any better? Most kids sign in the Fall. I have a bad feeling that we lose three important players and do we get any incoming given an uncertain coaching situation.
  3. if rm is not going to be back, then SLU needs to say this. If we plan to bring him back we need to tell this to recruits.
  4. SLU needs to clearly say what will happen with the coaching position. This is a big recruiting year and next year is even bigger. Three open scholarships this year and five next year. We could be back to what were with the wrong choices very quickly.
  5. It is sure nice to see SLU getting some respect. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology/_/year/2013
  6. Wow, he sure has a long list of interested schools listed on Rivals. RM gets really good under the radar players then makes them into very good players. Just think what RM could do with more highly recruited kids. This kid is rated a 3 star by rivals and is getting looks and offers from a few Big East and ACC schools along with many mid-major offers/interest. You can never have too many 6'5" athletic shooting guards/forwards. Hope we get him along with two bigs this year. Any other player on Oak Hill's team we might want? A package deal with Curington and a big would be great.
  7. This year, for the first time in several years, we must replace several players in the top eight. Yes, we lost Conklin and Cassidy, but by the end of the year Cassidy was way down in the rotation. So now we lose three guys probably in the top eight. So why no commits yet? We need to get fall commits. Everytime we wait until spring we lose out to the majors. So who will our first fall commit be?
  8. Actually we have several players who I think will be considerably better this year. Our class of Jett, Loe, McCall and Evans could be awesome. Everyone of these guys were coming on at the end of the year. Scary to think how good they will be when they are seniors. I just can't pick one for next year. SLU will be very good. And if Manning and Glaze come on, wow! Oh ya, and we happen to have Mitchell, Cody and Cory. No wonder RM is excited.
  9. Starters Starters: Mitchell,Loe,McCall, Ellis and Evans Top 4 off the bench: Jett, Remekun, Barnett and Manning
  10. Berry has NOT signed with Butler yet, can't until November signing period, 2012.
  11. Does anyone have any idea who the Bills might get a fall comitment from for the fall signing period. TIRED of reading about realignment, strenghth of conferences, etc.
  12. that is still a bit thin even if RL becomes an inside force.
  13. we better get a big or two who can contribute fast this fall signing period otherwise we will be very thin on the front line in 2013-14 even if manning and gg are good.
  14. Good pick-up. College basketball is a guard oriented game, especially for the mid and high-mid majors. Way to go RM. Now let's get two bigs and another tweener during fall signing period.
  15. Kind of quiet. Seems like if the Bills were going to sign the shooting guard from Cali that they would have done it already. Perhaps we are after a big that was released from their letter of intent? There have been several announced recently.
  16. Yes, I would like a big. But college ball is a guard oriented game. A dead eye three point shooter would be okay.
  17. Started 4/11. Will the BILLS do anything?
  18. Okay, time to fill that last scholarship with a big and get three lined up to sign next fall.
  19. No way we sign another guard. We can do that next fall. I say on the heels of our NCAA tournament success we get a big.................... maybe wishful thinking!
  20. Isn't it great that we are not hustling around trying to fill the last one or two spots with a Spring Signing period recruit? I sure the heck cannot remember the last time we did not have to fill a spot or two in the Spring Signing period. It is great that RM and staff can focus on the class of 2013. With that in mind, who are likely signees this fall?
  21. Liddell and Lisch. Lots of promise but Brad could never bring in any supporting cast. What the heck ever happen to Liddell?
  22. I am assuming that Mitchell, Ellis, Remeken, Jett, McCall, Loe, and Evans will be in the rotation next year. If all improve SLU will be very good. But we need at least two other players to step up and play significant minutes. I just want to know who the board thinks will step up? Barnett, Manning and Glaze would seem to be the logical ones to step up, but which two? I just don't see RM going with more than a nine man rotation. And of course we have Tselentakis, Carter and Drew to consider. RM seems to be very high on Carter. But to expect a freshman to come in and get time over Barnett, Manning and Glaze might be asking too much since those three have had a year to learn RM's system. Heck, I don't have a clue who steps up and makes an impact. All I know is that we need some inside presence, we could use a long athletic type who can defend and you never have too many quick guards.
  23. Calhoun certainly has had his health problems. Rick seems to have slimmed down a bit over the years. Really! I am hoping for five years but certainly health is a factor. Basketball ball seems to be the love of his life and that can drive a person. Keep swimming Rick and stay as healthy as you can. Here's hoping for five more years.
  24. I was curious what the Board thinks about how long RM might coach the Bills? I am assuming SLU wants to resign him. After some rough patches seems like SLU and RM are a good match. Can he do the last year of his contract plus five more? Looking at some of the older coaches, I think that is a reasonable expectation. Duke/Krzyzewski 66 years old. Mike looks real good for his age. Uconn/Calhoun 69 years old. Has had some problems but doesn't look like he plans to hang it up anytime soon. Cuse/Boeheim 66 years old. Looking like he can go more years. San Diego St/Fisher 64 years old. The old Michigan coach. Cal/Montgomery 64 years old. Got his team to the Dance. N.Carolina/Williams 59 years old. Dam, he looks older than that! The point is, none of these guys seem to be ready to hang it up. Why should RM?
  25. Great effort by the Bills. Made this 1974 grad proud. Now it is time for RM and staff to get on the recruiting trail. We have three scholarships to give next fall, Ellis, Mitchell, Remeken. We need impact players. Will be tough to replace these three but think RM and staff can do it. Mitchell has been an all time great. Can't wait to see what these three do next year. Expecting Mitchell to step it up next year but expect Ellis and especially Remeken to get to a new level.
